Healthy light meals! Detoxing from traditional Italian food!

If you are looking for a super healthy light meal, vegan and or raw vegan, this is your place!!! It's a great place to go when you want to detox from all that pizza and pasta. I went there several times and I must say that the portions are medium, do not expect the big feast unless you order... read more

I was really happy to found a place where I can eat raw vegan food. It's really fantastic place. Not far from center. Very tasty food. Especially raw mouse with carob. And I understood tgere that I love guacamole souse))I'll do the same when come back home) You have to visit this place even if you are not raw and... More

Absolutely loved the food here. Especially love the gnocchi, tortellini. Tried one sweet (raw carob dessert) and that was nice too. Excellent that it has gluten free options. Pleasant, casual atmosphere.

Amazing and unexpected spot in the city, small but cozy place where you can taste authentic homemade vegan, raw, gluten/soy free food. Special thumb up for desserts:Who said that sweets are made of guilt??? These are the most incredible sweets with absolutely no sugar inside! Healthy and cruelty free..the best!

Strolled past this place tonight after a huge dinner and decided to come in for their tempting desserts. My sister and I each chose a slice of their coconut and chocolate cheesecake... Heaven! Creamy, rich and better than a bounty bar! Ate them and wished I could take one home with me to London... the place could do with a... More

I came here for the food and returned 6 times during my trip for the service. Everyone who works at Dolce Vegan is extremely friendly and helpful. I don't speak Italian and every time I came in, they helped me order off the menu the best they could. During the week, I tried their gnocchi, wheat pasta, cheese burger, and... More

We were so impressed with the cuisine at La Dolce Vegan - we ended up eating three meals there during our stay. It is not fancy - you order on paper, submit your order and pick it up from the counter - but the food quality is outstanding. We loved everything we tried, including the desserts. This was the best... More

We went to Dolce Vegan after a long day of travelling and sightseeing and what a great choice. We are disciplined Sikhs so don't eat meat, fish, eggs, gelatin etc. or in a place that serves or makes these things ( in case of contamination) and it was perfect. Varied menu with lovely vegan cake to follow for dessert. The... More

Not sure I understand the negativity in some of the reviews. This was exactly what you would expect for a small vegan restaurant, similar to ones we have visited in Portland, OR, San Francisco, and Detroit. Except it is Italian! And in Tuscany! My wife and I both opted for the seitan lasagna, and it was excellent. The vegan ricotta... More

Staying in San Marco

Neighborhood Profile
San Marco
The pleasant atmosphere of this residential area, a stone’s throw away from the Duomo of Florence, surprises everyone. A continuous flow of backpacking students provides the tranquil surroundings for the elderly residents who sit in Piazza San Marco to read the daily newspaper. Home to several universities, including the Academy of Fine Arts, San Marco is one of the most vibrant cultural centers in the city. A bridge connecting the modern cultural activity of Florence to its classic art, represented by the everlasting magnificence of the original David, resonates as a symbol of Florence and of Italy as a whole. Get lost in a Neoclassic world, a journey back in time through historic buildings like Spedale degli Innocenti (Hospital of the Innocents), San Marco church, Basilica della Santissima Annunziata, and natural jewels like the Botanical Gardens.
