This restaurant was a short distance from my hotel and happily it opened at 6.30pm. I had a simple meal of ribollita soup (made in-house) which was all that I wanted for an early and light meal. It was excellent. That, with just mineral water to drink and a quiet ambience at that time of the evening, made a solo... More

That above says enough, doesn't it? 😉 We loved the food so much -- the Florentine Steak was huge & cooked to perfection! The Vongole Aglio Olio was amazing simplicity that was such a delight on the palate! And the Grilled Chicken was superb as well... Just writing this is making me hungry and longing for a trip back to... More

Popped in this restaurant and was happy about the food and the service. Had seasonal menu of wild boar pasta , veal chops and traditional florentine soup with Tuscan bread . Also great service by our waiter who thought us a little Italian . Worth dropping by ,

Since I was attending two events at the nearby opera house and wanted to eat before the performances (rather than afterwards) I've eaten at this place for two consecutive evenings. They are already open at 6:30pm and they serve a decent meal. I tried typical Florentine dishes and was not disappointed. I would only suggest to the cook to take... More

We were in Florence for four nights and wanted to try typical Florentine dishes. The food was excellent. We had ribollita, florentine white bean soup with pasta, and pasta pomodoro. The food was fresh and delicious. The service was terrific. The prices were not outrageous. This is a great restaurant for delicious Florentine food.

When visiting Firenze, I always stay at either the Hotel Executive or the Fenice Palace Hotel---just to be close to the Borgo Ognisanti---the street on which you will find my two favorite Florentine eateries: Il Mostrino and Il Profeta. I visited Il Mostrino the first week of October--with three friends---and I ate the same things I always do: Insalata di... More

If you want an authentic Florentine steak, away from the typical tourist traps, then this is the best place. We were delighted that we were able to dine on the early side (most restaurants open much later). The service was very professional. The house wine was excellent. Our appetizer was sort of like a pate, somewhat similar to chopped liver,... More

We ate here this week following a recommendation from our hotel . While it was ok, we would not rush back. The staff were friendly and efficient and the food was fine ( I had a pasta dish and my husband had chicken ) but overall not very exciting and there are many better options .

Out looking for somewhere local to eat and we came across this lovely little osteria. It doesn't look as grand as some of the upmarket places further along the road but don't let that put you off. It's a homely family run restaurant and our waiter was the son who greeted us warmly and settled us at a table inside... More

The first evening if Florence, not wanting to go far from the hotel we came across this Osteria, it was a warm night and had four empty seats outside. This is a family restaurant Father, Daughter & Son, daughter and son were waiting on. We had a couple of nice bottles of Chianti Rufino at 14 euros each. a selection... More
