Nice place, rude guy!

Loved this place, used to love going in for a glass of wine on the side with tables. The unkempt guy who works there is another story. Last trip I had three cases of wine sent home, all arrived safely. His recommendations were not too great, but that's another story. Most recent trip I went... read more

This enoteca has a large collection of Italian wines, including wines from small producers. The staff is very courteous, although most of them don’t speak English. If you want to buy good wines call for Antonella, she is very helpful

The charcuterie was excellent as were the wines. However, the wine selections by the glass were somewhat limited and fairly pricey compared with other spots in town. The pour also seemed a bit short.

Although we didn't do a wine tasting the wine we had was delicious. The antipasta plates are so good! You can get all different kinds. The jam and cheese we had in ours was wonderful. I'd loved to have spoken Italian to understand better what all they had to offer.

We traveled to Florence in Sept 2014 from the U.S. on an Abercrombie & Kent tour. This delightful Enoteca & restaurant was on the itinerary for a "light" lunch. We thoroughly enjoyed the wines served copiously along with platter after platter of charcuterie, hearty bread with chicken liver spread, olives, more cheeses. Oh my! What a feast! We completed the... More

A fantastic place on a hot and sunny day for a couple of glasses of wine and maybe some antipasti. Whether other guests had a larger wine and foodtasting or a simple orders as ours all where greeted with a large smile from the hostess. We only came for a glass of wine on a rainy day, but still were... More

I went here as part of a food tour on Florence. They have a big selection of balsamic vinegar, olive oil, confectionary and wine. They also sell some wine gadgets which are really cool. If you like wine, visit this place. Not sure if they do wine testing for walk ins but if so, they have some good Italian wines!

Taking refuge from a sudden shower we browsed quite happily here. When we needed assistance on the subject of balsamic vinegar, the gracious Antonella gave generously of her vast store of knowledge on the theory and practice, correcting us politely on our misunderstandings about age and taking time to educate rather on the importance of choices of wood for adding... We found Enoteca Alessi our first night in Florence and it became the spot to relax after a busy day. Antoinella made great wine suggestions and provided great service. She's kind, full of energy and very interesting. Although she claims to only know a little English, she was able to provide great advice and entertaining conversation, We were so impressed... More

This wonderful little wine bar is connected to an amazing wine/liquor shop, and market. The staff was very hospitable, and I had a fantastic sampling of great Italian wines. I also had some of the best cheeses I've ever had. The also have meat platters and what looks like some extremely fine balsamico. I didn't have room for more. If... More
