Sweet flavours are great, but sorbet flavours too artificially sweet

The sweet flavours here are great, but the sorbet flavours tasted artificially sweet (tasted more like the typical fruit juice from a carton, as opposed to fresh fruit juice) Lovely location by the river (on the not-so-busy side), offering a quiet place with a view to enjoy your icecream. Classic flavors, good quality gelato but nothing to write home about. Have been very deceived by posts on TA...only thing i can say is that it's at a good location so nice views on a beautiful day. It's cheap though.

This little shop has the most tasty ice cream I've ever tried in Florence. Not too much flavored , around 12-15, but all of those that I tried were excellent!!

We happened upon this tiny little gelataria and found it to have the tastiest gelato we have eaten during our 2 months in Italy. We tried the the Whiskey and Cinnamon, the toasted Nutella, the Peanut Butter and the Dark Cherry. All were fabulous. We can highly recommend Contina del Gelato for anyone wanting to take a break from the... More

Really delicious gelato. I loved the peanut butter flavor and I haven't seen that flavor anywhere else in Florence. What I also liked about here it didn't seem to be so touristy. It's a small, clean shop, and the owner serves you. Will definitely go back here.

Just popped in for a gelato and sat down to relish the simple but elegant quiet spot near the end of Ponte Vecchio opposite the Uffizi. Service with a smile, delicious gelato and other tasties should you need.

We stayed a hotel outside of the center and walked past Cantina del gelato everyday. We made a point of having a gelato most days. The hazelnut and Pistachio are some of the the best I tasted during a 3 week trip around Italy. Good value for money we a great selection of gelato and cold drinks. A handy stop... More

This is the best gelato in my eighth trip to Italy. I ate at least fourty gelatos so far, and basically they were better than eat it in any other countries. but if you want to taste good quality with healthy one, you try this place! I ate lemon and dark cherry and both are natural color and less sweet... More

Vegan or not, in a hot summer day there are two things you don't refuse - an ice-cream and a perfectly made smoothie. I'm an European but I love discovering tastes from all over the world and at the Cantina del gelato there are some really great delicious proposals to choose from. I go there twice a week and I...
