Gelato that's better than most in Florence

Tiny specialist gelato store with a good selection of flavours. We only tried 4 flavours between us and were suitably impressed by the taste, quality & texture of the gelato. Superb location by the river.

The servers didn't speak the greatest English however the gelato was amazing. Probably the best gelato I have ever had in my life. Prices were fair and it was nice to get some air conditioning on a hot day.

Hand made gelato, made fresh on that day. Unlike most gelaterias. Difference between icecream and gelato is quality ingredients and it is made and consumed on the same day. Great find for us, Passion Fruit Juice and other Tropical juices like Guayaba and acerola! Those from Puerto Rico would know these fruits!! If you ask for Parcha (passion fruit) make... More

We asked for vanilla and she gave us a sorbet with a taste of melon (cream of milk), and when we wanted to know what is it, the Women was not nice at all !! I took straciatella taste, the vanilla was very liquid and... More

Superb ice cream along the banks of the Arno.As most people do whilst in Italy, we ate lots of ice cream, undoubtably this was the best we had whilst in Florence.

Been to a few gelato places in Florence - this one had the best chocolate one I tried. The buontalenti is classic Florence as one of the locals buying there said to me. Great experience.

We tried A LOT of ice cream during our trip and this was our favourite! All the flavors we had were excellent and we would definitely recommend you to check it out.

Classic flavors, good quality gelato but nothing to write home about. Have been very deceived by posts on TA...only thing i can say is that it's at a good location so nice views on a beautiful day. It's cheap though.

Staying in Pitti

Neighborhood Profile
Pitti
Pitti is a neighborhood characterized by art and history. Renaissance architecture such as Pitti Palace, which houses five museums alone, introduces visitors to the green lungs of spectacular Boboli Gardens. Any visitor can wander through statues, fountains, and panoramic viewpoints. Around the garden, treasures like the Museum of Natural History of the Specola and Villa Bardini guide guests through Florence as the cradle of the Renaissance. End the day with an aperitif in Piazza della Passera or the more romantic Forte di Belvedere, which offers an amazing panoramic view of the entire city.
