Simply good

Simply Good Hostaria is better than the restaurant nearby named iCapaccino. iCapaccino is an awful tourist trap with owners crooks, with frozen food and very expensive for what it is. I don't recommend iCapaccino but better Hostaria further down.

Food was very salty. Ordered two pasta and a soup waited for 20 mins before the food arrived. Clearly prioritized other local customers before us. Our food arrived even later than the locals who arrived later than us. Total price was 26.5 euro, gave them a hundred bill plus 50 cents. But the lady did not want to take the... More

I found this restaurant for dinner based on a recommendation from my hotel during a rainy night in Florence and it proved to be the highlight of my day! It can be an uncomfortable experience dining alone in a foreign city, but the restaurant staff were very kind and communicated well. I was seated in the rear of the restaurant... More

This was a delightful traditional restaurant. We were given a glass of Prosecco when we sat down. There's a separate GF menu and I was bought a basket of GF bread. Such a treat as I usually miss out when everyone else is enjoying theirs. Wine is reasonably priced, the water is cheap and it states the price clearly on... More

Central location near ponte vechio. The decor is very nice recreating a traditional Italian restaurant. We had the mixed grilled meat which was great quality and very well seasoned. Baked potatoes were also delicious. I highly recommend the red house wine which is a superb wine at the unbelievable price of 8 euros. It is such a great wine the... More

Recommended Entree with fried pasta, salami and cheese. Main with Grilled Lamb, and Flat noodles with Truffle (This is in a special menu, see how luck you have!)

We were given a complimentary glass of prosecco almost as soon as we sat down. Chose the fixed price menu which was delicious, they brought us complementary bread, olive oil and sea salt too. Gluten free was easy throughout the menu, even an extra basket of gluten- free breads. The waitress was very warm and friendly. I would definitely go... More

Experience full on arrogant service at a restaurant that presents tourist Italy in a dish. Delicious, authentic and fresh, inexpensive but the attitude is way too much for this "little black duck". The wait staff were so rude, this restaurant should have a sign at the door saying- we do not like foreigners! We, a family of seven, celebrating a marriage... More

Goodmorning and thanks for your choise of our restaurant. I'm so surprise to read all that things. I'm a honesty person and I always say that our restaurant is not perfect for cerimony like you wanted (when you resrved you didn't say that you celebrate marriage), because for lunch we are very busy, we work with people from office, shop,... Excellent Tuscan food. The grilled meats are of the highest quality, and they have wonderful, but inexpensive wine - trust their recommendations!

This was the best meal we had in Florence. They started us off with some complimentary prosecco and fantastic service. The house wine was really good. We decided to just order one course because the portions looked pretty big. The Florentine steak was amazing. The gnocchi was absolutely to die for. The chocolate cake was the cherry on top of...
