Description: The close artistic and cultural affinity between Venice and Florence has...
The close artistic and cultural affinity between Venice and Florence has brought an enchanting piece of the Venetian elegance in the amazing Tuscan capital. The historical Caffe Florian, opened in 1720 in St. Mark's Square in Venice, now finds its natural space in Florence, with the opening of this new and prestigious location where the exclusive coffeehouse and the fine dining meet the Contemporary Art. Part of the private Florian Art Collection is now here on show in a permanent exhibition, Aron Demetz, Mimmo Rotella, Fabrizio Plessi, Gaetano Pesce, Irene Andessner, Bruno Ceccobelli, Marco Nereo Rotelli, Paolo W. Tamburella, Luca Buvoli, Massimo Nordio, Arcangelo and Fausto Gilberti are some of the many both Italian and international artists who, over the years, reated exclusive pieces of art expressly for the Venetian Caffe Florian. And now their works are in Florence, to pay their tribute to the three centuries' tradition of style, elegance and refinement, that made the Florian name a renowned myth all over the world.

I can't say enought about how outstanding this place was. A little apprehensive at first because even the English menu was a little intimidating. Not 100% sure what I was ordering. I'm thinking that's the only reason the place was nearly empty. Not your typical Florence menu. Great atmosphere and decor. Service outstanding. The food was absolutely unbelievable and the... More

Difficult to decide which is more stunning- the decor, the contemporary art, the food, or the waiters. This is a special place for a romantic dinner. Service is as flawless as you're likely to find. An offshoot of the world famous caffe Florian in Venice, on a much smaller scale, it's the perfect place for a special night out. Some... More

After 20 visits to Florence we have found the best restaurant yet. Floian's is a gem, and everything about it is 5 star, except the prices. Whilst it isn't cheap, the prices are reasonable and the quality and presentation of the food is exceptionally good. We decided to try the chef's taster menu, which was like eating the food on... Recommended by the chef at Parione (our favorite), the Florian was our choice for lunch. Meals are beautiful and delicious, with attention paid to beautiful presentation and delightful flavor. We were surprised that prices were not higher for this elegant dining experience.

I always prefer local Tuscany cuisine in Florence. However, having a Venezian brunch at Caffe Florian is a delightful experience! 35 € including 2 glasses of wine, upscale antipasti and dessert buffet, plus one main course from the kitchen. This is such an elegant place with good food and good service.

Popped in for some fine and to try their famouse French Macarons.. I will be going back. The service was exceptional as was everything served infront of me. This is the Florentine version of the famous Venetian cafe and it fits so well here in Florence. Worth spending the time to locate as it is not the easiest for the... More

We had visited Florians on a previous trip to Florence really enjoyed it and said that we would return , and we did! This time we called in for afternoon tea and enjoyed great coffee and macaroons. The décor here is unconventional and is appealing with its degrees of quirkiness and artistic cleverness, so to even visit for coffee and... More

Dear Pierluigi, Thank you for your kind review. You had a right perception: Our chef Daniele Di Sacco is Italian, but his helpers Krismon and Eri are from Philippines and Japan. The fusion of their ideas and backgrounds makes our dishes special as you said. We hope to see you again in our restaurant, Caffè Florian Firenze More
