Went here while in Florence. It was a great find. The owner Matteo greeted us and explained the menu and wine list. All the ingredients were fresh and tastefully prepared. We had the squash blossom appetizer with ricotta, it was GREAT!!!!! It serves upscale, non traditional Italian food. Would definitely go again when in Flirence.

I'm not saying this is the finest restaurant in the world. It measures up well with some 1 star restaurants, and probably deserves a star itself, but that aside it was a consistently high quality meal that my partner and I enjoyd immensely. The menu was inventive, with well-executed dishes made from high quality ingredients, in an elegant but informal... More

The owner, Matteo, personally greeted us and helped us with the menu and wine. This is an unusual restaurant in Florence for being so ultra modern and not making spaghetti pasta! The fresh ingredients were farm-to-table, grown locally and seasonal. We tried some of everything and shared!

We dined here with our family of four (two kids aged 12 and 8) recently. A very creative but not overwhelming menu. Our kids enjoyed it too - they ate everything! Fresh ingredients were the star of the show. Every course was presented beautifully but nothing was overworked or pretentious. The zucchini flower starter was to die for - and... More

We visited Osteria Personale whilst staying at the Villa San Michele so the competition was set at a high hurdle. The menu is eclectic and different but very good and a satisfying difference to a classic Italian meal. Example being the pan fried veal covered in squid ink breadcrumbs and the guinea fowl caesar salad. Scrumptious. The wines list featured... More

You really need to book this restaurant as there aren't many covers and it is clearly very special. We had some difficulty finding it as its name is very discreet, it's not in a touristy part of town and locals we asked weren't able to help us. Happily we did find it and had a very extraordinary gastronomic experience. We... More

Booked this have read lonely planet recommendation together with recent trip advisor reviews. It's a small restaurant near to the Arno, decor is contemporary. I booked it for my girlfriends birthday online and communication thereafter was excellent. Upon arrival I was greeted by name and seated immediately. We had the tasting menu and were able to choose our own dishes.... More

We have dined in many Michelin restaurants and this is among the best. (It's not even Michelin) It's creative, tasted great and the service was friendly. We asked for some advice on wine for our mains and pudding and both were great. Can't speak highly enough of this place - we would come back again and again.
