Really good Indian food

Loved everything i had, large portions and really nice service. The Samosa was wonderful and the mango-souce dish i had was even better.

We just travelled from Venice to florence. Was worried whether we would get an Indian food joint. Thanks to saffron, the food was really amazing. But what I loved specially was the nimboo pani which was really nice.

I've eaten at many Indian restaurants, have lived in India, and cook Indian food. This food was some of the worst I've had. First, it's simply not at all authentic. Secondly, nearly everything we had seemed almost gone off, like it had been cooked at least the day before or even earlier. Thirdly, the roti was so small it was... More

Superb! Best Pakistani, Indian restaurant. We had authentic daal Chana, and mixed grill with tandoori roti and cheese nan, which was superb.

Staying in Santa Maria Novella

Neighborhood Profile
Santa Maria Novella
Santa Maria Novella train station welcomes the majority of the people arriving in Florence, which might explain the hectic pace. Commuters and tourists come across the constant hustle and bustle of the station before exiting, taking a few steps and stopping amazed in Piazza di Santa Maria Novella. It is impossible not to admire the the square, housing one of the most charming basilicas in Florence. The area has plenty of local spots to taste Tuscan specialties, but don’t stop in the main streets alone; the narrower side streets always ensure satisfaction. The huge Parco Delle Cascine provides a solution to the need for a green area as well as a historic welcome in the form of a bronze statue of King Vittorio Emanuele II riding a horse.
