Set among art you will enjoy your dinner at La Cucina del Garga. It began with Proseco and complimentary bread topped with tomato sauce. We also received a bread basket with an assortment of breads. For antipasti we selected baby artichoke hearts with parm and pistachios, enough for two to share. Primi of fettuccini with orange and lemon in a... More

Two of us visited on our last night in Florence. We were greated in an atmospheric entrance with a smile and glass of Prosecco. Garga have an extensive wine list and a varied menu including dishes and flavour combinations we hat not heard of. In all, our evening was perfect and out taste buds were singing.

Our hotel recommended this restaraunt, and all five of us were very pleased with our meals. The staff were warm and welcoming and the atmosphere was wonderful. We loved being surrounded by the eclectic collection of artwork! We had a fun evening sipping wine, eating great pasta and enjoying the art! I would highly recommend this restaurant!

Ok so this was a great, well priced meal. The chef apparently spent time in NYC, and the menu is correspondingly more inventive than the average restaurant I've been to here (e.g. the magnifico tagliatelle has a cream brandy sauce, roasted artichoke salad). Both were, however truly excellent. The service was friendly, again with american touches (prosecco welcome drink, bruschetta... More

We were staying in a hotel around the corner and discovered this restaurant when exploring the neighborhood. What a wonderful find! It was busy, with great atmosphere. The food was excellent, and good value for Florence. Traditional Italian food with a modern twist. The service was superb - they took good care of us throughout the evening. The walls are... More

We had a wonderful meal here on our last night in Florence. The complimentary glass of prosecco and tomato sauce topped bread were lovely; we ordered the calamari starter and the chef also sent us the artichoke starter, both were delicious in particular the calamari with avacado and tomato was devine! Our next course was equally as lovely - tortellini... More

I work closely with 15 accomplished chefs and the food and their version of Italian gluten free chocolate here revivals their food. Thank you Trip Advisor for this recommendation. A wonderful first evening in Florence.

Came without a reservation on a Wednesday in the off-season and were seated right away. This is a very elegant restaurant, white tablecloths and walls filled with art. It's romantic and would be a great place to go if you're looking to err on the side of fine dining instead of casual trattoria. We got their house wine which was... More

Warm friendly reception and very good service. Welcoming casual ambience. Nice variety of antipasti, primi piatti and main courses. The pasta and their sauces were excellent and reasonably priced. The Florentine beef and veal chop were well prepared and quite good. Overall a pleasant and well prepared meal at a fair price. When we entered the restaurant we noted a... More
