On a side street close to the Duomo. Had a good pizza from a wood fired oven. Price was reasonable and service was good.

Restaurant appearance is fabulous which is why we gave it a try. Atmosphere great. We sat outside to enjoy Via Della Scala at night. Two of us - despite the restaurant not being busy, pizza arrived way earlier than risotto - we're accustomed to meals arriving at least at similar times so we can eat together. Thin crust pizza cooked... More

I ordered lasagna, to get the real Italian experience. It had some sort of odd cream sauce, rather than tomato. It was okay, but I was disappointed that it didn't have more flavour. It definitely didn't impress me. My dinner companion had some sort of spaghetti with cheese and cured Italian bacon. I had a taste, and it was incredible!... More

Quite by accident, looking for the Farmacia de Santa Maria Novella on Via Della Scala, we entered the Tirabaralla to escape the July heat and have a major nosh for luncheon. Notwithstanding the tourist hordes outside, the place was empty save for a tour group in a back room. The menu immediately looked familiar, and upon enquiry we found it... More

My wife and I were staying at a local hotel which had a connection at this restaurant. Overall the food was rather bland and poorly made. The service was okay at best. We had meat lasagna and a chicken dish with french fries and tripe and beans. The best part of the meal was I got ice with my water.

We went for dinner and it was one of our first nights in Florence. The presentation and meal were nice. We were happy. Perhaps a bit overpriced for the experience. We did not have the pizza so perhaps we missed out.

An earlier reviewer got it right. Sloppy pizza and slow service. Ingredients are not all fresh and not great quality. Grilled vegetables were not freshly grilled - some were precooked and cold in the middle. Pizza had light red sauce without much flavor and dough in center was soggy. Prices are not so low. There is much better food nearby... More

We went a couple of times. The food was fresh and tasty, and the prices very reasonable. The service was excellent and we had a different server on each occasion. I had the risotto with porcini mushrooms which was great. A lot of their desserts are made there. They have seating inside and outside.
