Was looking for a great Florentine steak house outside of the tourist areas. Saw these reviews on tripadvisor and decided to give it a try. About a 10 minute cab ride, but well worth it! I called to make reservation for 5 and they had a nice table ready for us Lorenzo, the owner's spoke great English and was very... More

This place was recommended by landlord of our rental house in the area. Probably the best restaurant we visited in Italy on our recent 16 day stay.

This place was a 24 minute walk from the apartment we rented, but was well worth it. The menu was 100% in Italian; but the waiter was very friendly and helpful. When his english failed he just showed me the dish that he was about to serve to another diner. The food was all fantastic. My husband had the carpaccio... More

We tried the restaurant based on recommendations from follow TripAdvisors, and it was a true gem of a restaurant. It is a short cab ride from most tourist areas, located in residential area. I am sure we were the only tourists eating here that night, menu changes daily and is only in Italian, so manager stopped over and helped us... More

My husband and I went here for our one year anniversary dinner. We weren't disappointed. Definitely order a bottle of their house chianti €15 and it tasted like it is a €30 bottle. Great find! We ordered the house speciality over our original plan of the florentine steak. It was phenomenal!!! Sliced steak with lard and herbs. So great. (As... More

Off the beaten path restaurant, you'll need to get a taxi to get there from downtown Florence and I highly recommend making reservations because it is always packed ... with Florentines. Climb the steep but short stairs (no elevator) to enter the cozy Trattoria where fine Italian cuisine makes your mouth water. I love the tagliata with lardo di colonnata... More

If you enjoy great service, wonderful atmosphere, outstanding food and tasty wine then do yourself a favor and visit Trattoria Tre Soldi. We were on the fence about visiting Tre Soldi because of its location-- it's not within walking distance of any of the main tourist attractions, which is where we were staying, so we had to take a 10-15... I visited this trattoria for the first time with a foreign friend. We both loved the food, the service and the atmosphere. The food is not the typical/traditional Tuscan food. Tuscan food can be boring (for someone who lives in Florence). But the Tre soldi not only offer traditional dishes; they also serve non traditional food with special attention to... More

A friend from Florence grew up eating here. It's a real Florentine, non tourist trattoria outside the center that serves traditional Tuscan food.
