Brac-tastic

Don't walk by! This place is hard to find but well worth it. We (family with 2 kids, 15 and a 13 year old who is a 'fussy' eater) ate here mid-August 2015. We popped in for lunch and sat at the small bar watching Sacha expertly prepare the drinks. My wife and I had the 12 euro deal where... read more

We were very much looking forward to eating at Brac and the host of our B&B Home in Florence managed to book a table for us. When we arrived the waiter simply ignored us and once we managed to find our table we had to wait quite some time for our drinks, food, bill etc...It was very busy, and that's... More

We'd been looking for somewhere to have lunch for a while, it was a sweltering day we'd been walking the length and breadth of the city for hours and my 2 year old daughter and I were getting restless. My partner spotted the place which was pretty much unmarked from the outside and said "how about that place?". "I don't... More

This is a nice hidden spot on a very quiet street. It is behind a library and if you don't pay attention you might actually miss it. The inside is kind ot minimalist but very nicely arranged with (obviously) lots of books. I ordered a lasagna verde which was a tasty meal but had a little bit too much spinach... More

I visited Brac because, as a vegetarian and book worm, a book shop that also masquerades as a restaurant is my idea of heaven. I was really pleased to be able to sit at the bar as that is slightly less awkward for solo diners and the food was really delicious. The dessert in particular was fabulous, a vegan peach... More

Stoked that we found this place. In a sea of pasta, Brac was a delightful island filled with fresh veggies and creative cuisine. I know I came to Italy to eat traditional Italian food and we have done a lot of that over the past week. It was all great, but I was ready for something that had a little... More

My partner and I ate here on the basis of a recommendation from a salesperson in a department store when I mentioned I was vegetarian. Goes to show sometimes random works out well. We both had really tasty and healthy meals, wine and water for 35 euro. I had the veggie lasagna and beans and potato salad, yum! Staff are... More

We came here after a Happy Cow recommendation and were absolutely delighted with the food. It's hidden down a side street in a bookshop and you are surrounded by inspiring books and decorations. We had a lunch special of three dishes, from a choice of over 20, including salad, pasta and sicilian flatbread. All were absolutely delicious and made from... More

Every visitor coming to Florence for the first time will immediately identify with Uffizi. As in past times, passing through Via dei Calzaiuoli, you can reach the city center, the Florence that everybody dreams of. In just a few steps, visitors can experience the rare beauty of the capital of the Renaissance. walking delighted across Palazzo Vecchio and overlooking Piazza della Signoria, up to the Loggia of the Uffizi where it is possible to fully taste the talent of the best artists who animated Florence over the centuries. When the sun goes down, there’s nothing better than a walk along the river Arno up to the ancient bridge, Ponte Vecchio. It is full of jewels and decorated by the colors captured in postcards.
