Great food, company, and atmosphere

This place served me the best meal I have had in Florence thus far. I had the combo plate for 12 euros, which was a great deal. It included a salad, pasta, and a flatbread. The salad was one made of cabbage and marinated in balsamic vinegar and served with walnuts. I had a curry flavored rigatoni... read more

Stopped in based on a recommendation from a local friend - my brother and I were surprisingly tired of eating (dare I say it) pasta and meat at every meal and were looking for a change of pace, something a bit healthier. Brac was exactly what we were looking for an more. I was able to get a beautiful salad... More

It is exceedingly rare to find such a perfect Vegan/Vegetarian restaurant anywhere. Large cities tend to have just one or two completely meat free eateries and whilst these are usually exceedingly good, they cannot compare to BRAC. Having dined there on Tuesday, I just had to go back on Friday (the last evening during my recent visit to Florence) before... More

Lots of long and detailed reviews already so we'll simply say that the food, wine, ambience, music and friendly service are exceptional. As another reviewer advises, book in advance. I e-mailed from the UK to book our first visit, we ate at Brac 3 out of our 6 nights in Florence. Definitely the best vegetarian Italian we have ever had,... More

We stumbled upon this cafe by chance and spent a couple of hours there. It is a lot cheaper than the average Florence tourist trap and doesn't have any Italy-inspired tourist cheesiness. On the other hand, the atmosphere is very hipster internationale with super trendy patrons working on their Macs for hours - an urban North American import quite the... More

I have been studying in Florence for 6 weeks now, and for weeks we have looked for a healthy/ trendy place to eat and study....We have found it. Based off a girls blog (girlinflorence) we were recommended to come here to study and and eat. We came in an had to make a reservation because we came for Sunday Brunch,... More

The place is really cool and not at all a tourist location. The food is good but the service was aweful we waited one hour until we got our main course and i enjoyed my avocado salad with sesame seeds and humus. The perfect vegan lunch. My mom said her food combo was terrible and left evrything in her plate.... More

We dined at Brac this past February, which is a unique and creative vegetarian restaurant set within in a library in Florence. This restaurant is not to be missed regardless of whether or not you are a vegetarian or vegan. A highly recommended tip is to make a reservation a week in advance as there is never an empty table... Read reviews and booked ahead- which was good as Brac has few tables and was full when we went. Reviews state it is best veggie restaurant in Florence- must say I disagree- it is possibly the best veggie restaurant in Europe! Also incredibly good value - the meals were large- prices small. The menu was a little tricky [wine one... More

As a vegetarian travelling through Italy, I was on the verge of bludgeoning the next person who said "spaghetti in tomato sauce" to me. Brac came as a very welcome surprise! This gem of a restaurant has absolutely amazing veggie food for very reasonable prices. The ambience and decor are very cosy and comfortable and makes you feel at home... More
