Excellent food in a great atmosphere

The food was really good, the staff were friendly and atmosphere was the best we found in Florence. You need to book to secure a table here, so I recommend you plan ahead to go there. It's pretty close to the Ufizzi, so maybe book it in and have some food when you've seen enough art!

I've died and gone to heaven! A high-quality veggie restaurant in a bookshop, what more could you want? Their food is incredible and the service is superb. If only I didn't live so far away, I could happily eat here every day.

We called braca but they didn't answer. So we went by on our way. We waited 5 minutes for the waitress to make a reservation for later that night. When she turned up she then told us to wait another 5 minutes to make a reservation. When we did she was so surly we didn't bother. I have no idea... More

This was a fantastic find. It's such a pleasure for a vegetarian to have so much choice, including lots of original dishes with unusual ingredients and combinations. Although we had a slightly frosty reception upon arrival, the waitress turned out to be very friendly and helpful. The place was almost empty when we arrived (around midday) but had filled up... If you are tired of eating the usual food you get in Florence, this is the place for you. The dishes are creative and delicious. The portions are big and filling, and prices are very reasonable. Don't forget to book as this place is very popular.

I was really excited about coming to this restaurant based on a strong recommendation by our hotel after we said we were vegetarians. On arrival the surroundings looking unique bring in a library. The first person behind the bar we saw blanked us and then a lady turned up and showed us to our table. She didn't explain anything about... More

Good food, though the library setting and food was ruined by poor service. Don't get the table by the toilet - it'll put you off your food. They need more staff and customer service skills to make you feel welcomed and enjoy what should be a very different eating experience. Just don't expect any great service and you'll be ok.

After reading reviews, we had high expectations for this place. And, even though we knew exactly what we were looking for, we still almost missed it....keep your eyes open! As the first lunch diners of the day we had our choice of tables and a quiet, empty room. A fantastic mix of French music played softly in the background; relaxing... More

Living in Portland Oregon it's tough to travel the world and find good vegan food. Hands down Portland is the vegan mother ship when it comes to food. The top of the heap in Portland is Natural Selection. Brac is on pare with Natural Selection. The plates were huge, the servings generous; but more important, everything we ate was spectacular.... As we are both vegetarian, my wife researched and found this place in advance. We tried to find it the first night and walked straight past as it looks like a bookshop, not a restaurant! Had to make a reservation for Monday as it was fully booked, but it was the right decision. Food was imaginative, innovative and delicious -... More

Staying in Uffizi

Neighborhood Profile
Uffizi
Every visitor coming to Florence for the first time will immediately identify with Uffizi. As in past times, passing through Via dei Calzaiuoli, you can reach the city center, the Florence that everybody dreams of. In just a few steps, visitors can experience the rare beauty of the capital of the Renaissance. walking delighted across Palazzo Vecchio and overlooking Piazza della Signoria, up to the Loggia of the Uffizi where it is possible to fully taste the talent of the best artists who animated Florence over the centuries. When the sun goes down, there’s nothing better than a walk along the river Arno up to the ancient bridge, Ponte Vecchio. It is full of jewels and decorated by the colors captured in postcards.
