Exceptional meal

After a long day of touring, we were aimlessly looking for a simple and quick meal. A dear couple in a nearby shop pointed us here. While it was more elegant than we sought, the food was exceptional, and the owner Claudio and his team were attentive and charming. The sea bass was the best ever, and... read more

Everything is first class, the atmosphere, the food, the wine and the service. i think it was the owner who came to our table and asked how we enjoyed it. Only a few doors from our hotel but no recommendation to go there for some reason. Florence seems to pride themsellves on the meat dishes but if you want a... More

Simple elegance. Great food, terrific service. Loved everything about it even the groovy tunes playing in the background. A glass of Prosecco as a welcome, fresh delicious seafood - what is not to love? We will be back

This restaurant was the best one we went to in Florence,, well...maybe second best, nevertheless, right up there! The fish was so fresh and perfectly presented, the wait staff are attentive yet not intrusive (I hate that). The house wine was a perfect complement to the meal. It is located a short walk from the Westin Excelsior in Florence. It... More

I have been in search of good fish for a few days, when someone recommended this restaurant. It was kind of hard to find for some reason, but worth the effort. We got there close to 9pm and the place was packed (all italian, no tourist) The waiters were happy to explain the menu in details, were very prompt and... More

My wife and I enjoyed excellent food and excellent service at Bistro del Made. We had seafood risotto, prawns cooked in olive oil and garlic with a tomato sauce, pistacchio-encrusted tuna tartare, fish of the day, and house white wine. Desserts were great especially the tiramisù! Everything was perfect. The maitre d' and the waiters were very friendly and professional.... More

very enjoyable evening for our party of four. Only criticism was that one main course of Lemon Sole was so overcooked that it was like rubber. The waiter did offer to replace this. Not expensive.

I will put it straight. This is not our idea of a seafood restaurant. Maybe our choice was faulty to begin with. Why look for a quality seafood place in Florence bent on Tuscan meat-oriented cuisine? But somehow it didn't work out for us. Despite very nice interior and friendly and prompt service, that proof of the pudding called "cuisine"... More

On the way to another restaurant recommended by our hotel with our friends from France we passed by this one and were intrigued. The next night we decided to try it and our dining experience clearly exceeded our expectations. The waiter was personable, professional and helpful. Between the 4 of us we had a good opportunity to sample the menu... More

We were welcomed by a a very nice waiter who offered and brought the menu in English. We found an excellent choice of dishes and the waiter's explanation helped us in our choices. We decided to have just two starters to share amongst four, but very kindly each of us was served with a half portion of a starter and... More
