This is a beautiful restaurant serving a very nice set menu for lunch. I was there on a Sunday afternoon and many Italians families were in there having a big lunch. My wife and I were going with the set menu as we planned to go out for dinner later on and were not looking for a large meal. The... More

Pleasant enough surroundings. Silver tongued waiter had the gift of the gab pushing the introductory acidic prosecco, but he lacked any substance coming from that well known school where conning clients is a forte! Gaps in the wine list exposed. Food was only fair. Poor batter on limited fritto misto! Definitely poor value for money. Only three tables occupied (all... More

Sought this place out because of the good reviews on trip advisor but we were disappointed. It's not that the food was that bad and the presentation was perfect and very theatrical but lacked any flavour an was quite boring. I was made to feel uncomfortable for asking for a beer (which they had none) and sprite rather than wine.... More

Very accommodating considering we arrived 10 min before they close for afternoon siesta. Try the grilled prawns- yummy!

And the best risotto ever! Great service and nice music. I recommend 8 starters, wine and risotto). And it's better to reserve, because for reserved tables they have a better choice.

We had a great dinner at this place. The restaurant has a cute and intimate atmosphere which is great if you want to have a romantic dinner for 2. We also enjoyed the great service they offer here. The waiters were really friendly and correct. Their seafood is to die for. The fish was of amazing quality. We had the... More

We almost missed the restaurant as it's not directly on the street but is through an archway. Having said that it was excellent - attractive decor and lots of space. The service was attentive but discreet. We were served a lovely amuse bouche before delicious starters - one was tiger prawns 'gratin' - having expected lots of sauce it was... More

Florence is not known for its seafood restaurants, so Bistrò del Mare is a pleasant surprise! The fish is fresh and creatively prepared. There is an excellent selection of appetizers, which can also be ordered as a tasting menu - a great way to try a variety of interesting dishes. We opted for the full 4-course tasting menu which we... More

Having spent the last 2 weeks travelling through Tuscany, this is a standout for quality, fresh seafood and service. And good price, we enjoyed the fixed price specials and ate for 5 for under 100 euro with wine. This place is on the Arno but has no views and is not on the tourist track, so is easily missed. Shame.... More

This is a great restaurant. Good service, delicious fish, and it was right next to our hotel! What more could we want?
