This place is rather expensive, but offers special lunch menu for 14€ / set. (We did not try it) Usual menu - starters around 14€, main course around 26€. Very tasty and fresh. Men waiters are good, but not very friendly - seems like they keeping the distance, supporting the high status of the place

Bravo! In a city overflowing with of ordinary food for the masses, what a lovely surprise to stumble into this gem of an oasis. The impeccable service, genuine attention, and warm ambiance and especially the deliciously high quality of the meal at welcomed prices quickly boosted this riverside restaurant into one of my favorites in Florence, if not THE favorite.... We enjoyed every dish though could not rave about anything. still it was in fact good value at dinner and is a lovely modern setting with much attention given to detail. The Falanghina white wine is quite tasty and reasonable. The Tuna was perfectly cooked and was the best main course. I would recommend the surprisingly light cheesecake dessert and... More

I joined friends for a Christmas dinner at this restaurant located right in the centre of historic Florence. It specialises in fish dishes and, boy, can they cook. The dishes were sophisticated, without being overdone, and original. The service second to none and ambience warm and welcoming. In all, highly recommended, especially if you are tired of the usual tuscan... More

Perfect for when you want a change from the Classic Tuscan fare. The restaurant Is airy and trendy and could be in any capital in Europe filled with well heeled locals, it has a nice air about it and the food was good if not outstanding. The lunch menu is very good value and the wine and service was also... More

This elegant place is right on the Arno, very near the Ponte Vecchio. We walked past it at first, even though we were looking for it, because there is hardly any signage. Its entrance is set back a few steps inside a huge arch, which makes it feel like a special hideaway. The host is a charming youngish man who... More

Our first meal in Italy was experienced at Bistro del Mare. Our concierge suggested it, so glad they did! We had a wonderful meal with a nice blend of traditional and contemporary Italian cuisine. One of our favorite dishes was a bruschetta with roasted beets and goat cheese. Divine. This was for lunch, I'm sure the dinner would be equally... More

We were visiting Florence for 1 week. Our hotel recommended Bistro Del Mare. We ended up going to the restaurant twice during our week stay in Florence. It was our favourite restaurant in Florence. We would highly recommend this restaurant. The seafood is fabulous and the service is excellent.

Having read the other reviews we expected more. The service was excellent, but the food did not blow us away. My husband's tuna carpaccio was rather thickly sliced and unremarkable. My spicy shrimp were very good. We both had the branzino baked in salt. It is very pretty to watch this presented and filleted, but the fish lacked other seasoning... More

This is a very nice, cool restaurant with a relaxing atmosphere. We went early for dinner, so we had the place to ourselves for a while. It's kind of hard to find if you haven't made any research first, so I'm glad we did. We had mussels and shrimp for starters, which were both cooked to perfection. Very tasty. I... More
