Dropped in here one evening without a reservation and the owner said if we could wait 10 minutes that he would have a table. Had a very good meal here of pappardelle with pieces of cinghiagli (sometimes you get it like hamburger) so that made it even more special. Also had risotto with asparagus - very good and portions for... More

We ate here lunch on our first day in Firenze. The food is good and the service is excellent. We ordered the pasta with broccoli, which was too spicy, and they offered to replace it immediately.

Found this restaurant on TripAdvisor near our hotel. You may miss it if you weren't looking for it. We didn't have reservations but they were able to accommodate us. By the time we left all tables were filled. The staff was able to translate the specials for us. My partner and I ordered 2 courses and were blown away. The... More

This is just a bit outside the center but very much worth a cab ride. The usual favorites but done beautifully. Naturally this restaurant attracts a local clientele as well as cost conscious but knowledgeable foreign tourists or ex-pat locals. My wife and I went there with Florentine friends and not only enjoyed the first pressings if the new olive... More

Had the wide noodles with wild boar sauce and it was excellent. Bruschetta starter was mediocre however. Service was friendly and attentive. Chocolate cake desert was warm and good.

Da Ginone is a place we have walked by for years like fools as we trudged from Porta Romana to the center. Last year we decided to try it with a large group and popped in for a reservation. The head waiter, Fausto, was so wonderfully helpful and enthusiastic that we knew right away we had messed up by not... More

We spent 3 weeks in an apartment nearby and we ate here repeatedly. In Oltrarno, this restaurant is a gem with great food, wonderful service and an intimate setting. We enjoyed conversing with Ginone and the waiters were attentive and very patient with our inability to speak Italian. The pasta with pears and Brie was to die for! Tried the... More

We stopped here to have a quick lunch and ordered eggplants baked with tomatoes and cheese. They were great! And it turned out that they have a wide selection of wine and cocktails and interesting dishes, so we were very sorry it was our last day in Florence and we couldn't come back here for dinner. Waiters were very nice... More

The food here was delicious and decently priced. The service was excellent but it took a little longer to get our food than most places in Florence

We were staying near the restaurant and after a search on TripAdvisor of good restaurants in the area we headed there. It had been a horrible day with rental car problems that took the entire day so we were looking forward to a good meal and some wine in hopes that our bad moods would change. They did as soon...
