Da Tito is known for Bistecca alla Fiorentina, a huge steak grilled rare, served with traditional sides. They will not cook your steak to order, because, it's their place and they know best! If you like serious Italian food- and don't take life seriously- this is THE place to come. Negative reviews will come from those (as suggested by the restaurant) looking for pasta, well-done meat and cappucino........... :) This was our 2nd (and then 3rd) visit here , and is a MUST STOP when in Florence. Proper decent Italian food- served by... More

My wife and I went there as an indication given from the hotel clerk to eat the famous Florence´s T-bone Steak. Right at the entrance, we heard the loud Rock music playing inside the place and 2 ou 3 old couples "banging" their heads to its rhythm. All the restaurant staff were singing or laughing, with funny T-shirts, creating a... More

After reading numerous great reviews, we decided to take a trip out to this place during the day to book a spot in the evening (on others advice). It's around a 15 minute walk from the city centre if you know where you're going, but well worth it, if you're not keen on the walk, just get a very short... More

This was recommended by someone who lives in the neighborhood. The atmosphere is festival and cheerful. We didn't make a reservation but the staff sat us in within five minutes. There is an surcharge of 2 euros per person. We had an appetizer of bruschetta with sausage and cheese, meatball, beef steak, osso buco (ox tail) , roast pork leg... More

the sign on the door gives you a hint... "cappucino 5'000 €....".. this is an authentic Florentine restaurant. They tell you how the food should be cooked because they know best. The portions are big and hearty... we didn't do the T bone steak because there was so much other very interesting stuff on the menu. And we weren't disappointed...... More

We actually walked there from our hotel in the pouring rain and it was so worth it! It is necessary to have a reservation since it is an extremely popular dining destination ....especially for those living in Florence. The staff speaks English and are friendly and accommodating. The atmosphere is lively, casual, friendly and fun! Their Ribollita soup was perfect!... More

A very memorable meal. The florentine steak was amazing, house wine tasty (and surprisingly cheap). The two of us shared a steak (it's 1.2kg) and served rare. We also added roasted potatoes and green beans with tomato and garlic (both were delicious). The staff were really friendly and worked the room really efficiently; we felt welcome and attended to. We... More

A-MAZING!!! I got a recommendation from a friend to "find the place (in this area) that's famous for it's steak" on a whim. I was really eager and arrived there at 7 (per the website) but opens at 7.15-beware! There were already ten or so of us lined up outside the door by then. I tried the steak of course... More

Excellent atmosphere with equally good staff. Octopus bruscheta delicious. Enormous Florentine steak. Avoid if you do not like meat exceptionally rare, but be sure to order if you don't mind. Roast potatoes as a side were lovely. As everyone else says bottle of limoncella left on table to help yourself-a nice touch but perhaps an acquired taste. Only thing that... More
