Best spaghetti I've ever had

I went to Italy for a college tour so we had a tour guide that directed us to this restaurant. It is one of the oldest buildings in Florence as it sits on top of the ruins of a Roman theater. It could of been the cliché that Italy is known to have really good pasta, but I truly mean... read more

This was one of our best meals in Italy. We enjoyed a Florence T-bone, roasted potatoes and an antipasto dish. This is family owned and the service is exceptional. The staff was warm and helpful. The food was absolutely delicious. Definitely put this one on your list.

Stumbled on this our first night in Florence and ended up going back at least once every day. The food was excellent and reasonably priced, and the staff and owner know their wine. Our waiter Paolo was fun, informative and helpful. We were walking home at the end of one night and had hoped to have a last glass of... More

I make a point of eating here every time I come to Florence. The food is always fantastic, they have great wines, and the service is always great. The waiters have all been there for years, and they make a point of remembering you. The owner is young and super personable and the ambience is wonderful. The restaurant's close proximity... More

This friendly restaurant was recommended by a Florentine friend as specialist for the Fiorentine steak. 1.6kg later of a deliciously flavoured steak all 4 of us were very happy. The steak was a little tough in places (I have had a better Florentine at Villa Ragacci in the Tuscan hills), but tasted delicious. The staff and ambiance of the place... More

Just stopped in while sightseeing. And we are absolutely glad we did. The server was great very nice and did a fantastic job. I ordered the Steak Florentine and it was really really good. Cooked perfectly and the wine we selected and the dessert made the meal very memorable. If you are in Florence definitely give this place a try.... More

We've been here in Florence for a week, our second trip to this great Tuscan city. We've have a great variety of meals at many prices this trip and the previous trip. Francesco Vini is a slightly more formal and a little pricier compared to the couple of dozen other places we've been, but well worth it. The wine list... More

I am so glad we noticed the giant raw Floretine steak in the window the day before. We made a note to come back for lunch. Service was friendly and informative. The steak was plenty for 2 and a great value. Take note, steaks in Florence are served rare. We also had a lovely salad. We ate outside which was... More

We dined at Francesco Vini on a rainy evening last month. We had walked past the restaurant in the afternoon and were intrigued by the menu which was posted outside. After walking the fifteen minutes the pouting rain, we were warmly welcomed to this charming place. I am sorry that I don't recall the name of our waiter because he... More
