Visited this restuarant by pure coincidence and ended up going an other time for the Cenone di Capodanno (New Year's eve dinner) based mainly on the very good value for money this place offers. On our first visit, we oped for antipasti, a pizza and a pasta dish which were tasty and not too pricey. Whilst there, the owner told... More

Had a really nice lunch here, very friendly efficient service, nice selection of reasonably priced wines and great Pizza! Central Florence but still felt a little bit "off the beaten track" in a really nice little square down some back streets. Unlike previous reviewer there were a number of locals here when we visited. Great little place with good atmosphere... More

After dealing with other restaurants being rude in Florence, we were very relieved to find a warm welcome at FrencescoVini. We went to Florence looking for Florentine Steak and we were not dissapointed in how they made it, it was delicious!! The location is fantastic, the restaurant is beautiful, has great outdoor seating and the prices are in line with... More

Visited this restaurant based on reviews here, and it didn't disappoint. We barely got a table, so make a reservation if you intend on going. The restaurant is quite large, there seemed to be one male front of house and only one waitress, who was literally run off her feet but she was pleasant and helpful. Due to the apparent... More

Really loved this place. Some friends recommended we eat here and were so happy they did. The setting is lovely and the service was OUTSTANDING! Had the best calamari appetizer I have ever had...seasoned beautifully. Husband had steak which was perfect and I had the mushroom risotto. My risotto came out cold and when I let our server know, she... More

Francesco Vini is an excellent restaurant in central Florence. Their food is excellent and the value is good. We ate there both nights we were in Florence. I had Ossobuco (beef stew) both nights because it was so good. My wife had Suprema Di Pollo and was very pleased as well. I must confess that the Tiramisu was just good... More

Our first time in Florence so we counted on the suggestions of the local citizens. Everyone recommended Francesco Vini as a great restaurant. Our experience was delightful. The atmosphere was welcoming. The staff could not have been nicer. They spoke English and helped us with our rudimentary Italian. The food was excellent and cooked to our specifications.. We had such... More

We loved this restaurant so much we made it a regular. Not only was the food authentic to the region and made with local fresh produce which would satisfy even the most discerning pallet the restaurant’s service was excellent. For those of us who don’t speak Italian it was refreshing to have such a congenial English speaking wait staff and... More

My wfe and I went to Florence and stayed in a B & B. We asked the B & B owner to suggest some places for lunch and dinner. One of his suggestions was this place and it turned out to be on of the best we visited in Florence! Since it was just around the corner from where we... More
