Best quality & cheap

We stayed at this piazza for 5 days and it was the best! At least 1 visit a day to the gelateria where all the flavours were ridiciously tasty. And only 1€ for a bolza.

This gelato artisan has very creative flavours in a very nice location close to the Piti palace. However do not be deceived; this gelato is not very flavourful and it is much too soft. The nut flavours, remembranza, and vanilla all lacked intensity. This place did not live up to the reviews that I read. Gelateria la Carraia, Gelateria ponte... More

We travelled from Rome to Pisa to Florence and tried ice cream on the journey. But this was the best we tasted. Scoops are small and not a huge range but great value for money and taste really homemade. Shame it was our last night we would defiantly come back. Salted caramel was a big hit! Make sure u try... This is hands down the best Gelateria in Florence. All home made with beautiful flavours and only €1 a scoop. Try the Pistacchio or Noisette which is the best icecream I have tasted and the chocolate Noisette is a close second.

Amazing gelato, and amazing value! Found many of the places in Florence flog bag gelato at sky-high prices to tourists, but this place is just 1euro per scoop and it's fantastic quality! The flavours range from rich and indulgent, to a little more novel like 'rose' and to fresh fruity flavours! It's superb and I really recommend! The service was... More

Lots of places have mountains of ice on display, even just before closing time. This place have classic small covered ice cream buckets, where you have to choose by name and not by pointing. Which way you only choose to sell your goods if you are really really sure they are good. And this gelato IS good.

This was not only the best gelato in Florence, probably the best during out trip to Italy. Very cute place, in a charming piazza over Ponte Vecchio. I wish I could remember the flavors, some of them were a little more interesting, but we stuck with the tried and true.

I went there because we were leaving Florence that very day, and we couldn't leave without a last taste of a florentine gelato! We asked locals for the best in town and they told us to go there, so we did. When we finally got there, we were impressed by all the little streets we discovered, and by the small... More

Our Air B and B hostess recommended this shop near our apartment and it was fantastic. We went at least once a day! They make the gelato in house and the flavors were so fresh -- loved the Mona Lisa and the orange chocolate. There was always a line out the door, but it moved quickly. The shop is tiny!!... More

After living in Florence for a few months and trying out many gelato places I have to say this is my favorite gelato place. It is in a small quaint piazza across the river and is a little challenging to find but it is worth it!
