Description: Located just off the Piazza del Capitolo (Duomo) - south side, between the front of the Duomo and Giotto's Tower. Excellent menu selection with the best pesto and best bolognese we have ever tasted. Very reasonably priced (we ate there at lunch time) and very good service.

Don't think about eating here. My sister and I were too tired to ask our hotel for a recommendation. We took our chances and it was a huge mistake.Poor quality food at a high prices.I was served A molded and formed chicken cutlet--no doubt prepackaged.Disgusting!

Everywhere we went in Italy we loved the food & service.... Except here! This was the worst meal & by far the most expensive! I ordered a chicken cutlet which turned out to be a frozen pre-formed chicken schnitzel that you can buy from a supermarket & was carved 10€. My husband ordered the salmon - over cooked & about... We ordered the lunch menu, and while my husband's choices were OK (but basic and bare minimum in terms of quality), I was served a deep-fried, processed chicken ...er...thing in breadcrumbs and yesterdays fried potatoes reheated. Yuk. When I told them I was not happy with it they were clearly pissed off, didn't offer anything else. Just don't go. This... More

Found this place by chance, needing a break from just having climbed the steps of the Campanile. Nothing too flash here a simple menu announcing your typical trattoria type food. I had some pesto gnocchi and my partner had the cannelloni. The waiter was attentive enough. It was just what we needed but nothing too special.

While visiting Florence we stopped for lunch in Trattoria Marino. The team seem to be not happy to work that day, therefore the service was poor. I asked for a grilled salmon and the potatos had a look and flavour of having been prepared some days ago. The bill was high for such poor quality of service and food. Never... More

We ate here on our last night in Florence as we wanted something close to our apartment and simple. We had spaghetti com vongole, which after having sampled about 6 previous versions in Rome, Venice, Milano and Como, was the best we'd tried. My daughter who was feeling unwell, had brodo with pasta and the broth was definitely home made... More

Our server was lovely and the outdoor area was nice, but the food was really awful. It's mostly just prepared frozen stuff that they're reheating so far as I can tell. While we were there, a group actually cancelled their order after the first courses and walked out without eating entrees.

Went here with 2 friends. The chicken dish I orderedwas mostly bone, there was no tomato sauce so was literally 3 scraggly bits of meat on a plate, for 9 euros. My friend's salmon pasta dish was composed of the tail ends of the salmon destined for the bin. The risotto did not resemble a risotto even in the slightest.... More

The food was very poor quality for what was paid. It looked and tasted like the food had been frozen and microwaved. The waiters were rude and smelled of body odor. Out of two months in Italy this was my worst restaurant experience.

The food was terrible. Considering we has just come from gusta pizza in piazza santa spirito the day before, where the food was actually cheaper and absolutely fantastic (look it up on trip advisor - it has a 4.5 rating) there seemed no excuse to charge more for food of such awful quality. I am not a food snob, and... More
