Very good food, excellent service.

This cosy restaurant is directly opposite the apartment that we are renting at the moment. As it was raining heavily on the evening of our arrival we thought we would give it a try. Now I always try to read reviews before visiting restaurants, on this occasion I didn't and I'm glad I didn't. If I... read more

Door sign wrote open till midnight. Around 22:10 we ordered a second bottle of wine. Five minutes after they brought the bottle, they turned on the lights and started brooming and mopping. They said because it was a slow night that they would close earlier. When we told them that they should have told us that they are closing before... More

Charming, cosy and comfortable little restaurant. We ate there twice in the three days we were in Florence They happily accommodated us last minute for dinner on New Year's Eve. The pasta is exquisite and perfectly cooked. They have a fabulous selection of wine - I recommend the tasting menu (3 wines for 15 euros). The staff and owners were... More

I've been living in Florence for quite some time, but this is the only restaurant I always return. The food is fabulous and I can tell because it's the only type of food that never fills me up. Same thing with the wine, it's the type that in the following morning I wake up feeling great. In fact I used... More

We went here the day after my Four Seasons wedding in Florence. This was a GREAT follow up. They were able to accommodate 40 Americans/Italians!! Private and intimately placed on a tiny Europeans side street in the heart of the city. Jazz music played over head. It was casual without being too informal. Very romantic!! The owner and husband were... More

300 meters far from the Ponte Vecchio, you can find Mangiafoco: a "rustic" and beautiful winebar. Tables are colorful and on the walls you can see bottles of wine that they sold and shipped all around the world. They've a varied menu and they also have the chef's suggestions. Don't miss the fresh pasta, is fantastic! The toasts with fresh... More

Loved the food and wine and very reasonably priced. Friendly and helpful staff and a great start to our first visit to Florence.

We've just returned from a pitiful dinner, if it can even be called dinner, at this poor little place. While it looks lovely, becoming, inviting from the street, our experience was anything but any of those. We looked at a terrific menu posted on the street and went in only to be told that the food listed wasn't available. Instead... More

I was a little disappointed overall with the food in Florence. Maybe I didn't go to the right places or something, but one place that didn't let me down was Mangiafoco! The menu is quite versatile, and the staff is happy to tell you about all the alternatives on the menu, and recommend great wine for it as well.

Mangiafoco is a small, charming restaurant on S.S. Apostoli near the Ponte Vecchio. They take their wine seriously here and ship worldwide. They have a nice variety of offerings on their menu and their young, animated staff were helpful. We were a party of 6 and everything we had was delicious and well presented. Because it's small, and popular with... More
