We choose this place because it was very close to where we were staying. Extremely disappointing. The food seemed like it came out of a microwave and was of very poor quality. I had the 1/4 roasted chicken, which turned out to be a drumstick and thigh and was very dry (no idea how you get dark meat to be... More

A family run restaurant that offers the cheapest food I ever saw in greater europe! Food could taste better and portions could be bigger but with this price nothing more can be expected!

We were so relieved to find a welcoming place to have dinner after the fiasco at Trattoria Del Carmine the night before! The staff was very friendly and explained the menu. The food was simple but good. The vegetables were cooked to the point of mush, otherwise I would have given 5 stars. Still, it was a pleasant evening, and... More

Pleasantly entertaining wiht lots of action. Nice food. Packed with tourists and locals which is a good sign. Definitely family-run (check out the photos)

My wife and I were in Florence in May 2013 and was told about Sabitino by a friend who lived in Florence in the past. He described it a family run "true neighborhood trattoria" with modest prices and good food. Well I will have to agree 100%!! We dined there one night and wanted to return the following day although... More

I read some good things about this place, including here on Trip Advisor. So I was eager to give it a shot. I have to say I was quite disappointed in the meal I had a few weeks ago. The food was just average, though the prices are amazingly low. You get what you pay for. Service was fine, but... More

We first stumbled upon this great family-run trattoria in 2009, and we make a point of walking south of the Arno each time we visit Florence. Great home made gnocchi and tagliatelle al sugo. The seating is at long tables, and it's obvious that this is where the locals eat. If you want an authentic, inexpensive Florentine meal, this is... More

Quality food, great atmosphere and lovely staff. We found this place as a result of other reviews and it was everything that has previously said. The staff spoke good English and so were able to help us with the menu, we didn't feel awkward at all. The food was great and the nice sized portions were just enough for two... More

We came across this restaurant while looking around for something else in the oltre Arno area, and were attracted mainly by the prices which are truly excellent... Do not judge a book by its cover...trust me on this one. The place is family run, the food is very genuine and authentic, and extremely tasty.

this place is a mostly local, slightly off the beaten path and rustic. small plates of good food. the menu was a bit difficult and the waiter didn't speak the best english. but he recommended some good small plates. we had ravioli and meatballs which were good. Also shared a salad and had 1/2 liter wine, gorgonzola cheese and espresso,... More
