As a tourist, you can't hardly find this restaurant as it's neither located in the tourist attraction nor highly ranked in any online food critic. The B&B owner has a list of recommended restaurants nearby. He told us he usually went to Sabatino for family dinning. They don't have any English menu and the menu is hand type writing (not... Such a familiar atmosphere and place that you cannot not go back. The menù varies quite often, but always reflects the Florentine tradition and quality. Everytime I cannot be bothered to cook at home this is the place i go too. My family and friends feel in a great place, and the price of the food is unbelievable cheap.

We wanted to take the whole family out for lunch before New Year and since my husband son's girlfriend was coming, she's from turkey, we wanted to find a good but not expensive restaurant in the historical center of Florence that serves typical fiorentine food. It was the 31st of December so we had few choices, the 2 restaurants we... More

Love. Love. love this place. Had dinner there tonight for the second time this week. Only wish I found it earlier in my visit to Florence. This place is low on atmosphere, but high on value and taste! And you won't hear an American accent! Think of your italian grandmother's house only with a dozen or so dining room tables.... More

Simple family restaurant with excellent food and price. A real find in Florence. The desserts are wonderful too, especially the grandmother's cake.

So glad we found this place...I thought I was reading the menu wrong at first because I couldn't take in the prices. There should be something to suit everyone here, and the atmosphere is great. We went twice on our recent visit to Florence and enjoyed both visits. Spacious, ancient room, very atmospheric, loved it.

This restaurant was recommended by a local rival restaurant in the same neighborhood for it's great meat dishes especially their Steak alla Fioretina. The other restaurant served only seafood. This restaurant is a small local establishment that is easy on the budget. The tomatoes in the antipasti that we ordered were so sweet. The pasta dishes that were had were... More

The Trattoria Sabatino exists in another world. A world where the food is good and the prices are reasonable. Ravioli Primo with sugo: €4.20. Roast beef with Spuds (small serve): €5.50. Vino da Tavola (from Tuscany) 500ml: €2.30. Dolce: €3.40 Cover charge: €1.40. Total for 2 people who walked out with a big smile: €38.20. It feels like a step... More

We choose this place because it was very close to where we were staying. Extremely disappointing. The food seemed like it came out of a microwave and was of very poor quality. I had the 1/4 roasted chicken, which turned out to be a drumstick and thigh and was very dry (no idea how you get dark meat to be... More
