No pretension here. Straightforward home-style Italian cooking. The mushroom risotto was fabulous and the Chicken primavera, with mozzarella and tomato and just the lightest touch of lemon, was a hit. Get several dishes and pass them around just as you would at home. That we were the only tourists in the restaurant says it all.

We went to this restaurant for dinner based off of other reviews and I liked it overall. We were seated immediately and my first impression was that it was very charming. I liked that you can see the chefs cooking. There weren't very many people in there but it started to fill up as we were finishing our meal. I... More

Small restaurant with open kitchen. Staff perhaps the owner/chef & a helper. Ordered the Seafood Pasta & when it came out it smelt so aromatic... Wafting of white wine perhaps used in cooking. Was very tasty & seasoned perfectly with well cooked, good amount of seafood. Also ordered the mushroom risotto but that was average, not as flavoursome. Seems like... More

Capannina Bistrot came as a recommendation by my hotel manager when I asked for someplace close by that good and serves authentic local cuisine. He said lot of the people that work in the area stop in here, including himself and thing it's quite good. He was right, it was very good. The restaurant itself is small, simple, but comfortable.... Took my mom and three adult children for dinner. Seated straight away at about 19:00. The place is small, but comfortable. Unfortunately, they had the TV going at a fairly high volume, which they moderated on my request. Kitchen is visible from the seating area, which provided some entertainment while we waited. Everyone enjoyed their meal. My spaghetti al pomodoro... More

My wife and I had lunch here with 2 friends. Prices are as good as I've seen in central Florence and the food was delicious. Definitely worth a visit.

Freah food cooked while you watch. Just a small place that feels like home. Owners make you feel like part of the family and the food is so so nice. Try the Chanti too. My favourite is Spaggetti Marinara with a glass of Chianti wine.

Followed the reviews and found the pasta is a bit average. Not as special as other reviews said. But maybe me and my husband had chosen the wrong ones from the menu. We had spaghetti aglio e olio and fettuccine Alfredo (we wanted to try pastas that don't have tomato sauce). The servizio - cover charge was 10% and not... More

We stumbled across this place on our way to the leather market and it quickly became our favorite lunch spot while in Florence. We ate there repeatedly because of the delicious food and the budget pricing (a tough combo for Florence)! Absolutely everything we ordered was delicious and the portions generous. Usually we chose from the daily specials for €5-6... More
