Love this place

Crowded, small, family-run restaurant near the Mercato centrale. No frills, but the food is good and the people are friendly. Excellent pasta dishes. Recommended.

After a very enjoyable walk round the market we fancied lunch but felt the tourist traps in the market did not look like great value and so tried this little place just around the corner. It was full of hungry looking Italian guys which we thought was a good sign. The food was simple, pastas, risotto, gnocchi etc. The portions... More

Lovely local food (I'm Italian, so I know when a pasta is properly cooked "al dente" and when touristic!) and very generous portion! I would definetly go again!

Went here for an evening meal and found the food to be great value with generous portions. The gnocchi was well cooked and very filling, and the Gorgonzola, sausage and polenta dish also went down very well. Very much worth a visit against the central restaurants charging higher on the main squares

My wife and I noticed this restaurant on our evening g walk and decided to give it a try. We had a mixed salad with chicken divided between the two of us since it was large enough. The salad had lots of chicken and a variety of salad vegetables that was otstanding. We then tried two of the spaghetti courses.... More

This is a small (most likely family run Bistro), a stone's throw from the San Lorenzo Cathedral. The portions are huge and very reasonably priced given its central location. The food was good, nothing spectacular but good enough for a spot of lunch on a budget in central Florence. You won't be disappointed with the food but there are better... More
