Great informal restaurant

we stayed around the corner and found it he first night in. The place is a popular haunt for students but also attarcts local tourists. Right from the start be prepapred to know your neighbour as you are usually sharing a table with another couple. This was actually fun and we met a couple of other... read more

Pleasantly surprised. Fresh, homemade, tasty, and affordable. What more could you ask for. And on top of all that the service was friendly and excellent. Will definitely return.

Four of us had a fantastic Sunday lunch here. It isn't to be confused by a pizzeria of the same name! You have to walk a little further down the street to find it. A simple rustic charm greets you inside, not at all modern, but it doesn't need to be. Two of us had the tasting menu which was... More

Finding a decently-priced restaurant with good food is always a challenge in Florence. (Perhaps it's just me.) Here, the service is very friendly, the setting is quaint, and the food's not bad, although nothing memorable. I had the ravioli with radicchio--a nice combination. The portion was smaller than I expected for 11 euros. Gusta Osteria seats about 20 people inside... More

This very small restaurant on the Santo Spirito square looks appealing, and its name makes a slightly misleading reference to the excellent pizzeria just around the corner. Because turning stodgy Tuscan dishes into memorable meals is not as easy a task as baking a pizza. Gusta Osteria comes out okay in the end, but my experience wasn't memorable either way.... More

As other many times, we didnt plan to have lunch in this osteria, we were just passing by santo spirito and were hungry. Food is good: we had lasagna , grilled vegetable with roasted potatoes. Good chianti to drink. People are very nice, price is not bad at all. It is always a good choice.

We asked the local taxi to take us to Gusta Pizza but he dropped us off at Gusta Osteria instead. This turned out to be a fortunate mistake. Gusta Osteria is a charming little restaurant with maybe 10 tables inside and another 3 or 4 outside on the corner of the road. The food is absolutely amazing. I ordered the... More

The host Juan was amazing. He provided complimentary Prosecco while we waited for our table. The food was amazing - we ate there twice during our two week stay in Florence. He had a wonderful rapport with all the guests - whether young or old, single or family, he greeted everyone and made sure their experience was special. I highly... More

On my last day in Florence I was determined to eat lunch here despite being told 'come back in an hour'. I did and the food and service were worth it. They deserve their certificate of excellence for great food from Tuscany. The Italians were there in droves. Rosso della casa was good and my desert (gorgonzola, walnuts and honey)... More
