Great food and location opposite the Uffuzi

We eat here in 2002 and was delighted to again enjoy a great dinner overlooking the Arno. 3 courses, prosecco and a nice red for Eu124 was not only a great dinner but very good value. The Bistecca alla Fiorentina was a standout.

Great Italian food, superb location 50m from the Ponte Vecchio, fantastic view on the river and the bridge from the restaurant terrace. Tables on the terrace are limited, easy to make a reservation though, because of its location, you will surely walk past it during the day, just go in and book a table for the evening or the next... Nice location with fantastic Arno riverview. Quite loud due to the big windows . Food is average as in many restaurants . In terms of prices one pays a lot as everywhere . Here you pay for the view ( remember). Waiters are friendly and quick. Thus it is ok.

We loved this place. The service was great, which is different for Italy, and the view was spectacular. This was our special dinner in Florence so we went all out and it was still within budget. We started out with the spinach crepes. Wow. One of the best things I've ever had in general. We had a chianti and a... More

Over priced for a simple food. My wife can cook better than this restaurant. We didn't feel welcome at all! Maybe we are Asians, I really don't know whats their problem!

This was the final night of our 10 day tour of Tuscany and I had reserved a table at this restaurant hoping to enjoy a special evening. We were greeted by a surly guy who barked "Name?" and seemed incapable of returning my smile. The restaurant was virtually deserted, which was rather worrying, but determined to enjoy our evening we... More

We were having trouble getting reservations at the last minute in Florence on a Saturday night, but this restaurant was available so we made an 8:30 reservation. When we arrived our table wasn't ready, though the place was half empty. I think that they want as many people to sit by the windows as possible for the view since the... More

Stunning views of Ponte de Veccio. Part of this restaurant hangs above the river with veiws upand down the river Arno which is a lovely twinkling river at night. It is right opposite the Uffizzi Gallery. The food is very good if a little expensive but you pay for the view I guess. You can get a basic one course... More

The title says almost all. My family and I have ordered one of those set menus with "primo piato" and "secondo piato". Very honest price for the good food they serve. The wine list is also quite good, with an assortment of local wines and options from other Italian regions.

Bragging a very good TA rating and wanting a scenic view of the river, which isn't much quite honestly we went in for lunch. Service was lousy, food expensive and tasted like it had been micro-waved. Waiter said no tables available by the window so took one back and then proceeded to watch several other couples come in and take... More

Neighborhood Profile
Pitti
Pitti is a neighborhood characterized by art and history. Renaissance architecture such as Pitti Palace, which houses five museums alone, introduces visitors to the green lungs of spectacular Boboli Gardens. Any visitor can wander through statues, fountains, and panoramic viewpoints. Around the garden, treasures like the Museum of Natural History of the Specola and Villa Bardini guide guests through Florence as the cradle of the Renaissance. End the day with an aperitif in Piazza della Passera or the more romantic Forte di Belvedere, which offers an amazing panoramic view of the entire city.
