Well now's your chance to remedy that. Book a table at this great little restaurant in the street where Michaelangelo built a house (where his nephew lived and that is now a museum). Forget the bad critics- any Florentine citizen will tell you that Bistecca Florentina is MEANT to be eaten nearly raw, if not completely raw! If you reserved... More

We started with swordfish carpaccio and then the obligatory steak, both of which were wonderful. The service is friendly and the prices reasonable. Starter, main, dessert and a bottle of wine was90 euros.

I set up a TA profile just so I could write this review. We booked a table for two based on TA reviews. The last review "Raw meat" was quite alarming but with all the other glowing reviews prior we figured it must be good... we were not disappointed. It was one of the best eating experiences we have had... More

Made an early reservation when we were in Florence last week, based on positive reviews here. We ordered the Bistecca Fiorentina for two. We were not asked how we wanted it cooked, but "not raw" would have been nice. My husband and I both enjoy medium-rare to rare steak, but this was not cooked in the middle AT ALL. My... More

We went to this restaurant based on TA high rating...went the night before and made a reservation and it was nice to show up a day later and the owner remembered our faces and the name the reservation was under. We were seated very promptly and then the same owner came to our table to take our order..He was friendly... More

There cannot be many better restaurants in Florence. Wonderful food, excellent service and expertly run by the owner who thoughtfully guides you through the menu and wine list. For the quality of food and the beautiful presentation the price is unbelievably reasonable. Best to make a reservation.

This place is wonderful. Very local and don't expect a menu in English, but the staff is incredibly kind and the food fantastic. We will definitely go back if we are back in town.

This restaurant is high on my list. The owner a very friendly person who knows very well what his job is about. The dishes are beautifully and I would not ask any better. The place in itself is OK. The point being an Italian myself I know what I am talking about: thus place is a safe bet. Courtesy wouldn't... More

I come to this restaurant whenever I am in Florence. We discovered it on vacation last year it is perfect. The food is excellent the owner is the only one that takes your order so he knows exactly what you want. The serving staff is very friendly as well.
