Dinner, the Real Bistecca Fiorentina

Perfect service, professionality and the staff is very kind. Hands down, the Florentine steak I had was the tastiest, most tender, and simply best steak in years. Even compared to ones I had in the US or other parts of Europe. Along with the charming, friendly staff and the Panna Cotta at the end it was the best experience during my current trip through Italy.

Second night in Florence and walking back to Hotel. There is a butcher shop and restaurant across the street. We were offered bread balls as we passed by going to our hotel “Hotel City”. Their sign has a trip advisor logo in the lower half. Checked with the hotel and reviews on trip advisor “La Padellaccila”. Great service and food,... More

After a lot of walking, this restaurant had a strong attraction: it was right across the street from our hotel (Hotel City). As others noted, you could miss it because it's in the back of a salumeria/butcher shop/deli. The latter closes at night, and Nonna stands in the street offering fried bread balls to passers-by. If they think a cheap... More

Stumbled across this place by accident really while we were out looking around the city. You could easily miss it as from the street it appears to be just a salumeria offering Italian meats & cheeses etc for sale. Don't be fooled. At the back it opens up like an Aladdin's cave into a medium sized restaurant. Nice atmosphere, friendly... More

My wife and I had this restaurant recommended to us by our hotel. What a great place for real Tuscan food. Pasta was very fresh. ( Get the wild boar ragu). You won't be disappointed. We ate there for lunch and came back for dinner same day. The Florentine steak is out of this world. Also the soup (Ribollita) is... More

From the outside it dosent look like much. But when you come inside is has a real old fasion look to it, that adds to the expirence. The food is not posh or fancy but it is really really good. The steaks are perfekt. And the meat is of the best quality. And the prices is also good.
