Excellent quality food and service for a modest price with no hidden charges. The decor is basic but has a homely charm about it and the hosts are warm and friendly; a great place for families, couples and singles alike.

Easily the best value for euro in central Florence. We were a family of 3 on a two month journey through Italy. Eating out can become a chore. La Padellaccia was around the corner from our hotel and offered authentic local cuisine for locals - just what you want in Italy. Short menu with seasonal produce, good local wines and... More

We were enjoying Florence one day and our tummy's rumbling about dinner time and walked right up to a very good restaurant in one of the back streets. I had a Florentine steak (GREAT) and my wife had the Pasta with Boar's meat. (Lovely) And the prices were very reasonable. A must go!

Went here with my now fiance on the night we got engaged as we found it on trip advisor and thought we'd give it a try. The staff were lovely and helpful, the food was very basic not much flavor on the meat and sides were equally as plain but we enjoyed our evening either way. It's situated in a... More

This is not a typical tourist restaurant. It is next to a fascinating butchers show and outside advertises itself on handwritten bits of paper – indicating that it is a simple and honest place. This is not fine dining but excellent homely food, unpretentious and relaxed. Unaccustomed as I am to eating tripe I thought I would try it -... More

We found this place by accident three years ago and returned by choice this year. The food is quite goo, but not extraordinary. The service and atmosphere are wonderful. The fare is typical of most Florentine trattorias, the portions good. I had a seafood pasta that was quite good.

We stumbled upon this small fronted restaurant at lunchtime, a little way from the very busy tourist streets and were greeted by a charming older woman at the entrance who welcomed us like long-lost family. Enjoyed our lunch in the small court-yard area (there is also a large well presented indoor dining area). Pleasant and helpful waiting staff, very traditional... More
