I visited the restaurant on 8/7/12. We had just left the Academia Museum up the block and around the corner and wanted something quick to eat. They had a sit down service or a self service Pizzeria if you went in through the entrance around the corner. We were in a hurry so we used the self service where you... More

This little restaurant just in front of the magnificent San Marco monastery (of Fra Angelico fame) looks welcoming and unassuming. And since it doesn't have much competition in the immediate vicinity, you go and sit at an outside table. And indeed, the salads are fresh and adequately served, if a bit on the steep side (12 to 15 euros, remember... More

Greasy, burned, awful. We were planing to have lunch. Here comes the waiter and ask if we wanted drinks; he brings the drinks and five minutes later he brings the check... We shoud've take the hint. I asked for creeps Florentine and they were burned, really burned. my wife asks for eggplant and it was extremely greasy. My daughter gets... More

This was the worst place we have had dinner on our Europe trip!! Completely over priced, terrible food. I had a pasta that resembled something close to glue with a red water sauce over the top and paid €13. Felt completely ripped off. We actually considered leaving without paying. You could have a better meal at McDonalds down the street.

My girlfriend and I ate here tonight (23 June 2012) and were very disappointed. Initially we were drawn in the by the cheap 'self service' menu but when we sat down it was a different story. I had the gnocchi which was very plain and mushy and my girlfriend had the Greek salad which at 13€ you would expect to... More

We had a pretty average meal here. Pizza, pasta. The food came so fast I could swear they microwaved the pasta, and it sure tastd like it! Worst pesto I have had in forever!

We found this cafe after leaving the Accademia and stopped to get something to eat. We did not find the table where we ate dirty. Our waitress was not the friendliest, but she was not rude. We ordered two pasta dishes and they were delivered almost immediately. We thought they tasted fine. I was a bit dismayed to find the... More

It will sound confusing when I tell you that we had macarons and gelato at the cafe next to Gran Cafe- but it is somehow connected to Gran cafe (because we paid the bill there) and operated by French people. I went here the day before we left Florence and they had just opened it. I guess because it was... More

This appears to be a nice little cafe around the corner from Galleria Dell Accademia. If only I had known! The tables were dirty, and that should have been the tipoff, but we stayed. The food was terrible, like something out of a can or a microwave. The service was terrible, and the prices outragous ! We were overcharged for... More

My friends and I stopped in at this cafe for a quick lunch because we happened to be walking by and were hungry. The general atmosphere was fine and even kind of quaint, and the food was not particularly notable either way - which was fine, because we just wanted a quick bute. But when we got the bill it...
