Nice lunch

I visited Trattoria la Madia during a short stay in Florence. Nice food, very traditional. Friendly service and quick serving. For a non-complicated and traditional Italian meal I recommend to check it out

We were looking for a street side restaurant away from the maddening hordes of tourists and roaring motorcycles. There on Via Del Giglio we spotted a row of street side tables filled with avid diners. We sat down and enjoyed a midday meal of good house wine and good food. Trattorias in Florence create their own specially designed atmosphere. The... More

10 of us stopped in before heading to train station. We had a very enjoyable early dinner and our hosts where very friendly and made for an enjoyable dinner. Some of our children had wild boar pasta and venison for the first time. Dishes where all seasonable fresh.

Our studying abroad daughter took us here for dinner our 2nd night in Florence. The artichoke risotto was absolutely fabulous!!! We live in CT and know many kids that went to Marist College. Was nice to see something familiar hanging on the wall.

My husband and I were on our honeymoon and gave this place a try. It was the best gnocchi and pesto I've ever had!! My husband had duck, my father in law had pheasant and my mother in law had chicken. They atmosphere was awesome but honestly the whole trip was.
