We were in the neighborhood and looking for a place to eat lunch. Because of the good reviews we decided to go to this place. First we couldn't enter because they were still cleaning the floor (at 12:00). We then entered the dark restaurant that smelled like a washing room. Amused by the cheesy interior and the terrible music (Music... More

My wife and I really enjoyed this spot - it's far enough from major sites to have the feel of a neighborhood restaurant - relaxed, reasonably priced, friendly service - a great value. We split the Florentine T-Bone steak - what a treat!! And whether here or other restaurants in Italy, we found the house wine to be delicious and... More

Our group of five ate here 2 nights as it was close to our hotel. The restaurant offers honest food that is cooked to a good standard and in the 2 visits, we did not encounter a dud dish. The wine list is competent without being inspiring, with lots of fairly commercial wineries such as Banfi and no vintages listed.... More

After a long day at Cinque Terre, my family was starving and exhausted. We happened upon this place as we were looking for a dinner spot on the way back to the hotel. Dining room is comfortable. Real candles on the tables adds charm. Bread was standard. Mista salad for 4 Euro was a bargain. Spouse had seabass which was... More

Again we beat the rush and were the first table for lunch in this warm, welcoming little place in Florence near the Acadamia. I finally took my husband's advice and didn't try to have gluten free pasta or pizza. I just told the server/chef that I was gluten free and she recommended the fish with potatoes and vegetables. Sounds dull,... More

I had Xmas Eve dinner here on 24 Dec 2013 (single traveller). I thoroughly enjoyed my dinner here - I made a reservation well ahead of time by email. I am SO HAPPY I cancelled the Four Seasons Hotel - this was so much MORE enjoyable with great service, enthusiastic staff and a lovely cosy ambience with its orange walls... More

We were fortunate to dine at this restaurant on our last night in Florence. The ribolitta is the best we had in Florence, hands down. The pasta dishes we ate were simple and divine, and the house read wine was perfect. We will definitely return if we ever come back to Florence.

We had a nice lunch here which we found to be very traditional and not touristy in any fashion. It is a great little place to eat near the historic center. We started with a nice place of sliced meats and a tasty salad with great tomatoes. Followed by a nice pasta with ragu and lasagna. Even though we don't... More

This is my second visit to this restaurant in the past few years. I remembered enjoying my first meal here in 2012 so when my husband suggested it I agreed we should go. We decided to try the Florentine steak with some traditional appetisers, I had crostini (yummy!) and he had a salami plate. We very much enjoyed our meals... More

I am in Italy often as my husband is an Italian citizen and 2 of our kids live in Florence. We have had the pleasure of dining at this authentic and reasonably priced restaurant with fabulous service since 2006. Our last visit - with our family of 5 - was for Christmas Eve dinner and Christmas day dinner, December 2013.... More
