Small cafe around the corner from our hotel. Family run, if it looks crowded (which it will) try to get in anyway...they will put you

Recommended by a friend we were not disappointed. We had some pasta, soup and I had sausages with canolini beans that was very hearty and tasty. We saw their Florentino steak at another table and we will go back for that.

I ate the best steak Florentine of my life. The service is very prompt, excellent house wine, very kind host. In four days I ate here 3 times. Located close to the center and hotel. Unfortunately Sundays and Wednesdays is closed!

We came back here for lunch twice because we had such a great experience! We ordered fresh pasta both times, and the wild boar pappardelle and tagliatelle ragu were outstanding. The service was consistently lovely - they speak very little English but it isn't too much of a barrier, we didn't have any miscommunications. Would highly recommend!

We normally shy away from the tourist locations when looking for a restaurant. This place was a little off of the beaten path but it was clean and really good. They greeted us with some wine on the house and also served us some Grappa after our meal. The food was good and the hospitality warm. Also the price was... More

Good menu, well cooked. Some confusion in the ordering because of shaky English. My Italian's not great but maybe would have been clearer. Nice atmosphere and friendly.

This restaurant was around the corner from our hotel in Florence and the hotel staff recommended it to us!! Very reasonable prices and delicious-- not to mention good service. Would have gone back but we wanted to try different places. Highly recommend!!

The food and great service at this restaurant was so impressive that we had to eat here twice during our 5 day visit to Florence. Florentine steak is a great dish in many restaurants, but we liked the presentation at Mangiafuoco, whereby the steak was carved table side and stacked on top of the bone to allow you to then... Usually we can rely on reviews and consumer ratings but this time they got it wrong. Maybe the cook was having a bad day, maybe it was a new cook.... Either way, the food was barely average, bland and overcooked. Pork chops and chicken breasts are not that hard to cook so that they are not tough and dry. The... More
