We tried this place twice during our stay and it was excellent. Very tasty for a good price! Try their florentine steak: simply fantastic! Friendly service. Very cosy inside. There is a terrace for warm evenings. The place was full both with tourists and italians. We booked a table on their website: it worked. It is right by mercato nuovo,... More

This restaurant was really good. We were literally staying a 3 second walk away at Relais Cavalcanti and tried this on our second night. It opens at 6:00pm. Many locals don't go out to eat until 7:00-7:30pm but the place is very popular and seriously filled up quickly on the Friday night. I was wondering why they had so many... More

As we did not have a reservation there was a 20 minute wait for a table, but totally worth it. We were given a complementary glass of vino rosso while we waited. The service was friendly and efficient and the food really delicious. We ordered antipasti and first courses, which were very substantial and extremely tasty. The Lasagna was the... More

With all the good reviews and a recommendation from a local establishment, we were very disappointed with our meals at osteria Del Porcellino. We arrived with four guest on New Year's Eve around 7pm. It wasn't too busy and we were seated right away. We felt kind of rushed right from the beginning. Three of our meals arrived, steak, pasta... More

The food is truly great, the service was good and they serve food until late. Dont hesitate if you are around but be aware that is very touristy so it gets crowdy Book in advance if you plan to go

there is a blessing, of course, of good if not yeoman trattoria across Florence but Procellino stands out for wonderful and suprisingly light preparation of the local classics. I had a simple potato ravioli with a meat sauce which was light as a feather, and they prepared the basic white beans in olive oil, garlic and in this case a... More

This a great place to experience traditional Florentine food is a truly Florentine atmosphere. We ate outside so we could enjoy the sight of the market. The food is excellent and prices reasonable. We had pappa al pomodo, a thick soup (almost porridge really) of tomato, bread, olive oil, garlic and basil, as a first course. Another tradional dish to... More

Just returned from Italy & while in Florence I ate at the Porcellino. Great as always & love the expansion the restaurant has undergone. The staff is great - always so welcoming. Great location, great food. Love this restaurant & will continue to visit it whenever I'm back in Firenze. :-)
