I'm a gelato fanatic and had it almost every day, sometimes twice a day, on our trip to Venice, Florence, and Rome. Of all the different places I tried, Antica Gelateria was the best one in Florence and probably the best one in Venice and Rome also (though there were some close runners-up). I do have to qualify that judgment... More

A friend found this place and took us there and we keep going back pretty much weekly (we live in Florence). My favourite is Cuor di Pardula - ricotta, orange & lemon zest, and saffron. Simply delicious. The cheesecake flavour is my second favourite, and the two make a great combination. The Extra Black chocolate is also excellent. We love... More

We went here several times and had several flavours of icecream. Ask the person serving you and he/she will let you taste before you buy. All sizes available from 1eur up to 5eur and you get a lot for your money.

We tried others. This was the best by far. Didn't even taste in the same realm. Half a block up Faenza street from the San Lorenzo (Medici) church.

This is what gelato should be..freshly made on site, great prices with fresh new flavors. They have a Tuscan creme which is great, pistachio and the new Macha which is different and tasty...a must place to go

This gelateria is just around the corner from our Via del Canto dei Nelli apartment near the Medici Chapel. We go there almost every day; not because it is the closest one to our apartment or even because it is the least expensive one in the city. We go there because they have great gelato that is made on site,... More

Great little gelateria in Florence. Flavors are absolutely sublime. And the patrons keep coming in at any time of the day!
