Best Gelato in Florence!

During our time in Florence, we sampled gelato whenever we needed a break. This is the best! The variety is huge, service superb, and two little wood street tables perfect for people watching. Our hotel the Boscolo Hotel Astoria was only blocks away so we stopped every night for our gelato.

The best gelato artigianale we had in Florence. The chocolate ice cream was one of the best I have ever tasted. Highly Recommend

We ate at a couple of other places and none around it taste as good as this shop! My husband got fragola and cantaloupe almost every time. I had mint and lemon which was to die for! Pistachio was great and chocolate was so rich!

This is probably my favourite gelateria in Florence (where I lived for a year, so tried out pretty much every one!). Amazing flavours (persiano is my favourite - so unusual and exotic!) and very friendly service. Wish I could ship the gelato back home....

Make a point of remembering where this little gem is! The gelato is perfect and the shop clearly run by a family who care enough to patiently wait for customers to make up their minds about which flavours go mix and match.

We were just about to order some gelato from another gelateria closeby when a fellow tourist told us about this place (she had just paid 8€ for a cone and 2 scoops and didn't want us to fall into the same trap). We made a quick detour to find Antica Gelateria and so glad we did. Super friendly service and... More

Appreciated that it's open late as many folks are rolling out of their late suppers in the San Lorenzo market area. Always had short but fast lines and as someone mentioned their pan levels are low so this stuff is definitely being eaten. I had the dark chocolate and something that tasted like grand marnier liquor. Wow! Have eaten at... More

I had gelato here every night! The dark chocolate was decadent and delicious but my favorite is there "Designer" flavors. The one made from ricotta cheese with lemon and orange with saffron is my absolute favorite. I told myself I would try different flavors each night but I didn't. This gelato ruins all other gelato in Italy. Nothing compares!
