Unusual Flavors

Appreciated that it's open late as many folks are rolling out of their late suppers in the San Lorenzo market area. Always had short but fast lines and as someone mentioned their pan levels are low so this stuff is definitely being eaten. I had the dark chocolate and something that tasted like... read more

I had gelato here every night! The dark chocolate was decadent and delicious but my favorite is there "Designer" flavors. The one made from ricotta cheese with lemon and orange with saffron is my absolute favorite. I told myself I would try different flavors each night but I didn't. This gelato ruins all other gelato in Italy. Nothing compares!

Gelato is always good, but this place is tops! Nice old shop with plenty of different gelato. Get the wonderful pistachio! Just remember to have cash.

I love this gelato store.. The gelato is always low in the pans and fresh.. you know its homemade. The pistachio is amazing along with the fragola and creme. Great stop if you want real NON tourist gelato.

Get the cherry! I usually don't like fruity gelato flavors, but this one was amazing and smooth. A great place to get a refreshing gelato.

Nice place, and probably one of the better gelato places in Florence. Although of the 5 places I tried, they ended lowest. But that was also because I went strictly after the geleto top list here on Tripadvisor :-) I tried the ultra ultra dark chocolate gelato, which I DON'T recommend. I love chocolate, but that was simply too much/too... More

I enjoyed the gelato here. i tried the cherry, pistachio and best of all the dark chocolate. All really, really good. There are seats inside but there are also small benches outside.

The Gelato was good, not the best in Florence - we gave that award to Grom, but the Saffron Gelato is definitely a must so don't miss this spot. Plus, unlike Grom there was a spot to sit and enjoy your gelato and watch people walk by. it was a sweet little spot.

This place deserves its good rating. Cheap, excellent gelato. Try the coconut and dark chocolate flavors and any fruity flavors too.
