True Italian Trattoria & outstanding service.

This is probably one of my best suggestions for those who are looking for actual Tuscan food not only at reasonable prices; but also served and surrounded by true Italians. The restaurant is outside the touristic area of Florence (in the other side of river); however, it is not far from Florence... read more

We've just left this restaurant and despite having a delicious meal felt the need to write an immediate review about the really poor service. The welcome was warm and friendly, and our dinner - which as I say was delicious- arrived promptly. But the dining experience was soured by watching one very angry waiter bicker with his colleagues while we... More

I booked this restaurant for our first night in Florence because they took online reservations. This was a mistake. The food was fine, nothing to rave about and nothing to complain about. We had a pretty early seating and it seemed that they were not adequately staffed the night that we arrived. At arrival we were not greeted at the... More

This is probably one of my best suggestions for those who are looking for actual Tuscan food not only at reasonable prices; but also served and surrounded by true Italians. The restaurant is outside the touristic area of Florence (in the other side of river); however, it is not far from Florence downtown (about 15 – 20 minutes walking). The... More

We visited, twice, for dinner. First time enjoyed the pasta with clams and fish stew. Mamma (who my children affectionately called "Nonna") chatted with the children who adored her, so much so they asked her if we could have a table "under the tree, in the garden" for two nights later, and bring Dad! She went out of her way... More

What a wonderful experience! The owner is most welcoming. The menu is extensive, and the food is well-prepared. The non-meat antipasto is both extensive and a delight. The entrees of veal and chicken are a delight. The wine was perfect, and for those who like vodka, the bottle is near frozen and placed on the table without jiggers. We did... More

After reading rave reviews on Trip Advisor we decided to visit Pandemonio and loved it so much that we returned a few days later. Mama and her sons (?) make you feel right at home and the typical Tuscan comfort food is beautifully prepared. If you are visiting during late summer, do not miss the insalta di popone! (melon served... More

Honestly, one of the best meals of my life. I was told by a trusted family member to go to this restaurant. It was the best advice I have ever received. my family loved it. The Eggplant appetizer was unexpectedly incredible. The Florentine steak was the best I have EVER had. The shrimp ravioli was amazing and I wish we... More

Lived up to the reviews when we visited in early August. Hard to imagine being made to feel more welcome. Large portions of very good, robust food. Definitely worth a visit.

When our other plans fell through we were able to eat at this restaurant. It turned out to be the best restaurant of our 11 day trip. It is family run and they make you feel so at home. "Mama" told us she made the best meat sauce and she was absolutely right. Our 3 teenage sons and my husband... More
