excellent food and service

we were lucky to be seated without a reservation. we arrived early but within 30 minutes the place was packed. our food was so good and the service was professional yet friendly. there were a lot of regulars as opposed to tourists. i was impressed with the mama - she runs a tight ship.

This was suggested by our concierge at out hotel...and it DID NOT disappoint! My father was a butcher in an old fashioned shop with highest quality meat....and the steak here was by far the best I have ever eaten.! My husband and I still (after 2 years) drool over the memories. The service was attentive and the atmosphere was everything... More

We hade the Antipasto misto and it was just a mixed of different vegtables similiar to the things you have as buffe at a lunch place. The sirloin was good but over priced, €30. To this I had some fried zuccini for €5. The feeling was that they had squezzed in too many tables. The aisle through the resturant is... More

We had a good dinner 2 starter, 2 course that is 1 braciola 1 ossobuco (braciola is nothing expecial) 1/2 wine, water. No coffe, no cakes but limoncello. About few less than one hundred euros.

Having read the reviews in a bit of a hurry. Phoned got a reservation and set off from our hotel. Upon arrival the front of the restaurant looked like it was deserted. No diners to be seen. Walk in and get greeted by an older lady who I presume is the "Mama" mentioned by other reviewers. We are shown to... More

While this place looks like any other trattoria from the outside, the food is extremely high quality and the back of the restaurant has quite a bit of atmosphere. The first time we were there, we saw half a cow being delivered freshly to the kitchen! Hence, the bistecca is of superb quality and you get to see it raw... More

We dined here on the strength of the fantastic Tripadvisor ratings & we were not disappointed, in fact, this was another one of our favourite meals in Florence. A wonderfully atmospheric, family-run traditional trattoria. Mamma Giovanna was welcoming and gave the place a huge, warm personality. Food was excellent. Papa Al pomodoro starter was the best we've ever tasted. Pasta... More

As we planned to visit on Sabato Santo, we looked for a place on the other side of Arno, and we chose it based on opinions on this site. It is just a short walk from Ponte Vecchio. The Mamma greeted us and was really helpful and entertaining throughout the meal without being imposing. We were there with our 6yrs... More

We visited this restaurant four years ago and just had to return! It was even better than we remembered! The food is amazing and the prices are right! We had two bottles of house wine, a delicious grilled vegetable appetizer, ribollita (we tried five different ribollita's at various restaurants and by far this was our favorite), the short pasta with... When in Italy you want to feel welcome and well fed, Pandomonio does exactly that, from being welcomed and shown to our seat by our host Mama, helpful friendly staff and delicious food, this place ticks the boxes. The food was excellent and came out quickly but I never felt rushed as it often can in that situation. We were... More
