Typical diner food, decent prices

After a month of traveling, we were craving something familiar so we tried The Diner. We got some pretty good burgers complete with French fries, cheddar, Heinz ketchup, and Bud. While not amazing, it's well priced, just slightly more than McDonald's and infinitely better. It's great to satisfy... read more

How does this place have such good reviews??? American coffee: terrible (instant maybe?). Our food arrived minutes after we ordered. Somehow my omelette was burnt on the outside yet goopy on the inside. There was something that was supposed to fried potatoes in a hard, crunchy blob on the plate. The orange juice tasted cheap, as though it was from... More

After many consecutive days of pasta and pizza, my friends and I decided when needed a little break. We stumbled upon the diner one night and what a treat! I came here for dinner with friends and they were the best burgers we've ever had. Also came here for an American style breakfast (since we wanted something more than a... More

An American-style Diner in Italy. The portions are definitely bigger than any other restaurant I've been to in Florence. Good prices. Free coffee on Wednesdays. Student punch card program is great for earning free meals. Milkshakes with all sorts of fix-ins. The omelettes are flawless.

We both were honestly ready for a break from Italian food but didn't want to sink as low as Burger King or McDonald's. Sooooo happy we found this trendy diner with amazing food. The burger seriously was the best I've had in a very long time. And the

My husband and I walked about 2kms to find this little gem. After traveling almost a month we were ready for a good old fashioned cooked breakfast like Americans or in our case Australians. I had the banana pancakes £8.50 and he the eggs benedict with a caffe latte for £2 each. Bill ended up being just over £25 euro... More

This was maybe the best burger Ive had in florence! The fries and vanilla milkshake were not so great, but the burger was fantastic. The playlist and atmosphere made up for the fries too. Really easy to find and fun with friends. A decent home away from home for Americans.

The food was good. The meat patty in the burger was massive. It was a relief to not have to eat Italian food for that meal. The price was also good. We got very irritated at the amount of time it took between getting a menu and actually placing an order. It would have been nearing on 20 minutes. There... More

If you want to take a break of Italian food, this a unique place in Florence in which you can eat American food. Great place with wonderful service and breakfast / brunch all day long. Food is very good and it is not expensive. Music is fantastic too. One can get back to the 50's 60's and 70's.

Staying in Duomo

Neighborhood Profile
Duomo
Florentia, as it was called by Latins, is permeated by an eternal beauty spread in all corners of the city. The historic center is characterized by the immensity of the Duomo, able to transport tourists into the brightest age of Florence: the Renaissance. Who does not know the Brunelleschi Dome, San Giovanni Baptistery and the Giotto’s Campanile? Everything is enclosed here and it would be easy to imagine the city as it was in ancient times, with maids walking in the main square and horses carrying coaches. Nowadays, roads are busy with street artists. Rustic Tuscan bakeries give way to fashion shops; just stop for a few minutes in the middle of Piazza della Repubblica to enjoy the colors and sweet melody of the carousel that will bring back great memories from anyone’s childhood.
