Nice find

Four of us ate here the first night we arrived in Florence, all of us extremely jet lagged. It was near our hotel and we were at a point we could not walk much more. The place looked charming from the outside, but lacked "atmosphere" on the inside. However, we all enjoyed our meals and the price... read more

As we were walking along the street, we were approached by Aurelia, one of the servers at Osteria dell'Agnolo inviting us to try their restaurant. We made it there on our second night and had an excellent meal of salads, meat dishes and house wine. The salads were very fresh and the beef and chicken cooked as ordered. We asked... More

While in Florence we walked a lot. Often we walked along Via Borgo and encountered a singing waitress in the street right in front of Osteria Dell' Agnolo. From the street the restaurant does not look like much and the singing seemed a bit too gimicky but one late night, whole searching for an outdoor table for a glass of... More

Didn't look at Tripadvisor before sitting down to eat, but were enticed in by the waiter outside who told our 11-year old son that he could watch the pizzas being made... Well, it was better than that. A quiet evening perhaps (Maundy Thursday) but having first sat on a bench to watch the preparation of the pizzas, he got invited... More

My granddaughter and I stopped by on a whim during our quick trip to the beautiful city of Firenze on March 13, 2015.. Sitting at the bar, visiting with Franco, tasting wine and a regional liqueor (the name of which I don't remember) with biscotti made for a delightful evening. Learning more about Chianti, regional wine making, history, family, &... More

This was my favorite place in Firenze. I was having a horrible day, when I just happened to chose this place to try, and it totally changed my day. The service and food was excellent. I was in Florence for a few days last January as part of an interim course through Europe. I had an allergic reaction to something... More

Do you know what? People can be really funny when it comes to expectations of eating in Italy. There must be some hardwired expectation that checkered white and red tablecloths will cover each intimate table and a waiter will grind your pepper for you (not a euphemism) whilst romatic vioins serenade you. Whatever. Okay the place was like a big... More

It was New Year's Day and all the good restaurants I looked in were full. It was getting late and so I decided to try this one, encouraged by a smiling member of staff and promise of a discount. I soon discovered why they needed to offer discount. The interior was brightly lit and characterless and not very warm. My... More
