We stumbled on this place by accident and went back two evenings later. It's small but popular with chic locals. We didn't eat the main food but were served tapas style small bites with our wine which was excellent and fresh (tomatoes). It's not cheap but recommended never the less

Pros: cosy tiny romantic winebar. good wine. nice food. Cons: Expensive (€7 per glass of wine). catering for tourist market. staff not very welcoming. Overall: cute place for quick aperitivo, but I would not go out of my way to visit. It's not a very authentic tuscan place. Instead lookout for normal 'cafe bars' that offer aperitivo at abt 5-9pm... Lovely little hole in the wall with tasty Tuscan treats -- a bit pricey, but worth it if you aren't staying somewhere with a kitchen and market access -- and great wines; good service, too.

I love going to this bar. I take all my out of town friends here and go a lot with just my husband. The food is always exceptional. We always order the whipped cod after indulging in a plate of prosciutto and cheese. The wine list is selective and delicious. I've never had a bad glass there, unlike some other... More

The location is intimate and warm, the food really delicious and elaborate, but the service AWFUL and r-e-a-l-l-y slow. I mean, really slow, not kidding. They just DON'T CARE. The owner is SO rude and disrespectful, he's the chef as well, he just has ONE waitress, and he will leave you waiting forever without even apologize. These people need to... More

Walked past this by chance and decided to go in for a bite, the ham was good, service was great, good recommendation on wine, even asked what cheese we like for the cheese platter. Later that day we stopped by a top 10 restaurant for one of their famous platter and the difference is obvious. Il santino is passionate about... More

we stumbled across this at Sunday lunchtime when Il Santo Bevitore next door was closed. Turned out to be a good moving to see the little brother. Small place with excellent salads and wine. Only down point is that we did not eat quickly enough for my wife to get a dolce as the last one was sold in front... More

What a find! Saw it in lonely planet and found it after eating out just down the road... All I have to say about this place is if you like wine and cheese go here! I had a glass of brunello with some cheese and pear chutney and it was divine!! Girlfriend had similar and it was also superb! If... More
