Trendy, intimate, and one guy is half Canadian

Small, intimidate and quite wonderful. If you're expecting to get filled up with hearty Italian food you've come to the wrong place. This is all about small powerful flavor filling your palette. Enjoy and take your time.

The place is tiny and it was packed. We had drinks and along with the wine we have proposed a small crouton, which we did not expect. Courteous. I thought it was a characteristic and personality.

We enjoyed lunch at this small and cosy establishment. There are only 5 tables and seating at the counter for perhaps 5 people. The service is attentive but unobtrusive and the staff provide excellent advice about both the menu and the wines. You can buy wine by the glass that is served with a small portion to match, tapas style.... More

i am just shocked that this tiny hole in the wall gets such great reviews. it speaks to the quality of the wine bars in florence which is very low. the wines offered are mediocre and the space must be about 8 feet by 17 feet.......TINY.....noisy.....and generally unimpressive. you can absolutely skip this place

We had booked this restauranrt the day before not by choice but because it's impossible to get in. People turned away, quickly fills so it's a good idea to pass by in order to book. The attached wine bar was great too, we had a couple glasses of wine with fantastic snack (all sent in from restaurant that was attached)... More

Probably our favorite meal in Florence. It is very very small and we were a little intimidated at first because it was clearly not a tourist place but we strapped our gonads on and went in. The bar lady couldn't be nicer, and when we started ordering food she gestured us to a corner table that had just been vacated,... More

This was such a nice little find, we just came across it by chance exploring the streets and it was really good and local. We highly recommend it for all travelers that wish to get off the beaten track a bit.

This little place deserves a better rating! We stumbled across it by chance on a walk on the (slightly) quieter south side of the Arno. We'd first tried the main restaurant a few doors up the street but they were very busy and it was the end of the lunch session. The waiter there walked us down to Il Santino... More

Following a recommendation we went to Il Santino, the place looked great and we sat down and started chatting to the man behind the counter- he was so friendly and helpful and suggested wines to pair with the tasting plate of meats and cheese he was preparing for us. The cheese and meats were excellent, as was the wine. The... More
