Really enjoyed our dinner at Peperoncino. We had thinly sliced ribeye with rosemary and olive oil along with roasted potatoes and a nice glass of Chianti. Also a tasty green salad with olive oil and balsalmic. Ask for Nick to serve you, he speaks 3 languages and is a great host.

We ate here at the recommendation of our hotel. We arrived and were immediately seated. We ordered the gnocchetti with peperoncino sauce, grilled sea bass, and chicken sorrentina. The two minor instances that made this not great were that we were given bread, oil, and vinegar but nothing to put it on. No plate or bowl or anything; the second... More

This restaurant was recommended by our tour guide. The restaurant was very noisy due to a tour group of about forty and the meal was the worst of our trip so far, in so much that the meat in our first course of pastet and meat was tough and the second course of lamb was too raw for the taste... Went with a group and ate in the back room. Service was OK, reboiled soup was actually quite nice. Overall not so good but food everyone else was eating in main restaurant looked really nice.

Following recommendation from hotel, we tried this restaurant this evening. The menu was limited for someone like myself with slightly more picky food tastes but I plumped for rib steak with rosemary. Mum chose veal with mushrooms. We had a bottle of water between us & Mum had a glass of house red wine. The food was very tasty but... More

This was not our first choice of restaurants for the evening, but after trying 3 or 4 other places, the concierge at the Westin Excelsior was able to get us in here. What a lucky break! We thoroughly enjoyed everything we had, including the fusilli al pesto, delicioso! And I had the steak with rosemary, which was a revelation! Everything... More

Our last evening in Florence before heading on to Venice and after having spent a couple of weeks in Sicily, Amalfi and Rome, we were a little "fished out"...same for pasta, and looking for some meat for dinner. Our concierge at the Excelsior recommended Peperoncino as the proprietor also works at the local meat market and is known for having... More

Suggested by 'Luciano' from Best Western Hotel Rivoli, we had a flavorsome dinner in this nice restaurant with good friends from Luxembourg last week. My husband and I begun our meal with pasta with white truffle in a light creamy sauce, and truly it's one of the best pasta we had in Florence. My fish course to follow was also... More

Enjoyed a nice meal at Peperoncino on our first night in Florence. While delicious, the food seems slightly over priced. Staff was engaging and friendly. Accessible wine list and menu with plenty of good options. The location was key for us given our accommodations and we would return.
