Trattoria Bordino was recommended to me by some locals who live in the area. You need to cross the Ponte Vecchio to reach it and then walk a few blocks. You'd never know it was there otherwise. The value here is unbeatable. For 11 euros, I ordered steak florentine with an appetizer which was a full dish of pasta. There... More

Recommended by the owner of apartment we stayed in, this little trattoria is tucked away in a side street, but just a few minutes walk from Pontevecchio. The set lunch was amazing value - 2 courses for just €8 - three or four choices for each course & great authentic food. Nice place to sit outside & welcoming friendly staff.... More

My mother, father and I were in Florence in October 2014 for 6 days and a staff member of the apartment where we stayed recommended Trattoria Bordino as having very good Bistecca. It is charming, casual, and literally one block away from Ponte Vecchio.. We wouldn't have known it was there unless he told us - and were we glad... More

I went with a group to this restaurant for lunch and totally enjoyed it. We all ordered bistecca Fiorentina; some had the roasted potatoes and others the salad? veggie? can't remember. The lunch came with wine and dessert. The steak was wonderful, the service was friendly and jolly, the place was packed and we had a great time. The desserts... More

Small restaurant across the Ponte Vecchio - great food and friendly service in a local atmosphere - if you are in Florence go find this place and you will not be disappointed. Order the Bistecca Fiorentina for 2 at 33 euros...fabulous grilled steak served the way it should be...rare. Veal dishes were also very good. Went back 2 nights in... More

This place has it all. Genuine staff, food and atmosphere and all at a reasonable price. My wife and I made a reservation and had a great table in the back corner of the restaurant. I would have to say this is the best seat in the house. I ordered the lobster pasta and it was one of the best... More

It was OK, but that was about all. It was convenient for where we were staying but I probably wouldn't bother going back. Wouldn't avoid it but we ate much better elsewhere

This small trattoria is in a side street within 100 metres of the Ponte Vecchio yet it could be miles away as it is pleasantly quiet. It has a compact outdoor eating space, the food was of a good quality & nicely served by the helpful waiting staff.

It is a nice restaurant in the quiet street. The interior is traditional and very nice, but the terrace is quite small. We were having onion soup and mixed crostini for the first course and T-bone steak for two with grilled mushrooms, fries, spinach and mixed salad for the second course. Everything was nice, although there was not plenty of... More

Staying in Pitti

Neighborhood Profile
Pitti
Pitti is a neighborhood characterized by art and history. Renaissance architecture such as Pitti Palace, which houses five museums alone, introduces visitors to the green lungs of spectacular Boboli Gardens. Any visitor can wander through statues, fountains, and panoramic viewpoints. Around the garden, treasures like the Museum of Natural History of the Specola and Villa Bardini guide guests through Florence as the cradle of the Renaissance. End the day with an aperitif in Piazza della Passera or the more romantic Forte di Belvedere, which offers an amazing panoramic view of the entire city.
