Florentine restaurant in Florence since 1980.Tuscan Chef.traditional cuisine (great Fiorentina steak) but even lots of seasonal recepies with fresh fish and meat. vegetarian and gluten free menù is also available.very interesting proposals in the wine card :local producers and even organic wines to experience for a real "touch" about our land.good atmosphere and courtesy add something special to the food.Ristorante familiare con staff. Cucina fiorentina e creativa. Tanti i vini in carta con particolare attenzione a piccole realtà territoriali.l'accoglienza è cortese e cordiale .

We ordered pizza, which wasnt a big deal. Very thin, dry and crispy pizza pasta. According to the menu 0,25L red wine is 4€. When I ordered I got 1dl for 3,5€. (??) When I asked for the reciepe I got it without details just a number to pay. Whey I asked the waitress to detail it she said... read more

I visited this place today with my friends. Menu looks like attracractive. Host were disapointed when we ordered pasta. I get 4 (four) raviolis for €14, my friends - caprese with yellow rukkola, unripe tomato and extremely small portion of pasta. It was the worst food experience since my first visit to Italy since 2010. Host stood behind our table... More

If you want to get authentic Tuscan food, just go to Il Paiolo and ask Lucia, Caterina or Claudio for recommendations. This family (several generations and over 200+ years in Florence) will personally take care of you and make sure you leave satisfied! This is a small, intimate and unpretentious restaurant, but the food is excellent and the service warm... More

For us, a vacation to Florence always includes at least a couple of dinners at Ristorante il Paiolo, on Via Corso. We love this place and think owner Caterina is one of the best chefs in the city. She always cooks seasonal dishes and her menu has specialties you won’t find anywhere else. One night we ate a delicious chestnut... More

We ate here on a whim. I liked the look of the food in the window. We didn't understand the menu but the guys at the table behind us told us to just tell the "lady" what you want and she'll make it for you or she will suggest something. So we did. I saw risotto on the menu and... More

I loved this place, staff was really professional and food quite good (especially the dessert). I did not try the famus Fiorentina, I had nobody to share that with. The only remark is that it is a bit expensive. Salad, dessert, tagliata and wine nearly 50 euros :(

At first my mother and I were a little apprehensive as the menu was entirely in Italian and we were worries to order, but the staff speak fabulous English (as well as Spanish and German) and provided us with a wonderfully light pesto tagliatelle and a flavoursome (but not too salty!) risotto. The atmosphere was calm and quiet, despite there... More

Healthy selection of food. We had the baked mussels which was wonderful. Great selection for vegetarians as well. Bill is not itemized so keep track of the price of the items ordered to be sure. The staff is friendly, it is family run.
