We went there on our last night in Florence, it was recommended to us by locals. We had to wait a while to get a table and another hour or even a little more for our food but it was SO worth is - absolutely delicious!! It's not a very touristy place but authentic and beautiful and as said, their... More

They are happy to cater for vegans and will not malke a fuss ablout customizing pizzas. The choice of pizzas is excellent and so is the quality. Can't fault it and I go every time I am in Florence. You need to book as it is alway jam packed!

Neighborhood pizzeria with some of the best pizza I´ve had. Some slight communication difficulties and the waiter did seem to ignore us at times but the pizza was well worth the waiting. As far as I could tell a popular place among the locals, a lot of families coming in for dinner.

Just off Porta Romana go to Antica Porta, for the best wooden fired oven pizzas, pastas with seafood and super dolces to share. Affordable. We ate there to nights in a row and ate our ears off. This is the place where the italians go for late dinner with friends. Best recommendations. Pizzas 7-12€, starters 7€, mains 12€. House wine... More

Thin crust, light sauce, the taste of which explodes in your mouth, fresh bufala mozzarella AND you can take out. A large pizza cost 8 euros or about 9 bucks. Hey, United States, get with the program. Truly delicious. The chef has a list on the wall of 50 million other combinations--I have no idea what the translation is so... More

When in Firenze, you definitely have to try this place! It's a cosy spot very near to the historical center, spiced up with a typical Italian atmosphere and the food is to-die-for! I had heard a lot about the pizza with porcini and truffles, but I never imagined it would be so tasty. And the tiramisu was just perfect. I... More

Definitely the best pizza I've ever had. Superb choice of toppings, making the most of local, high quality produce. So good we went twice.

Are here on a number of occasions. The owner runs it very efficiently and the food is excellent. Much seafood on the menu and a very long list of pizza toppings!

The Antica Porta is a pizzeria in Florence Italy. I ate pizza there on two occasions in the last week. The pizza is cooked in a brick oven by a very experienced cook. On both occasions the food was good. On my second trip I experimented a bit since I knew it would be good. I ordered the seafood pizza.... More
