Good basic food

A small family run Pizzeria. English spoken which helped. A small menu based on pizza with specials which tend to be focused on pasta. Good is fresh, wholesome and tasty. Wine is by the half litre or full litre. Don't expect the best but it is very quaffable! The price is very reasonable... read more

I've known this place forever! It's in my opinion the best pizza in town! No matter what day of the week you want to go you will always find it pretty much full, so I would definitely recommend you to call and book! Take away pizza is also available and if you feel like it's one of those lazy Sunday's... More

We stumbled on this place while looking for a restaurant we'd gone to 10 years earlier. What a find! This is a locals' kind of place, and as foreigners we had to make great effort on the communication front (as did our Fabulous server). But she/we made it happen and it was worth the effort and then some. There was... More

The best pizza we have eaten in years (and believe me, I've eaten a lot of pizza's ;) ). We started with a focaccia with prosciutto, tomatoes and mozarella bufala. Simple, but great. Then we ate pizza quatro stagione (black, olives, chokes, prosciutto cotto), really breathtaking flavours on an ultrathin bottom! The other pizza we ate was prosciutto with mozarella,... More

We arrived shortly after the restaurant opened for dinner for the evening. That is probably the best time to arrive, as the restaurant was flooded with diners by 8 p.m. We tried 3 different pizzas on the menu, the two with truffles, and with Arabian bread. Note, the Arabian bread pizza is barely a pizza, it is more of a... More

This place was WONDERFUL! The food was so good, the wine was delicious and the service was superb! I can't remember our server's name, but he was very helpful and patient with my mom and I as we could not read the italian menu (silly Americans). I would definitely try to seek this place out the next time i'm in... More

Local pizzeria with an extensive range of beautiful thin crust pizzas and yummy desserts. We were seated quickly (2 people) and the wait staff were pretty quick. Only lapse in service was trying to get their attention to get the bill. After trying for 10 mins we just went to the till and they got fairly annoyed! Food is definitely... More

This spot was recommended by the hotel - we arrived at opening at 7pm . I had a mozarella and tomato salad which was nice . Kids had margarita pizza -ok. I had the 4 seasons pizza which was very watery in the centre This was all matched by the often encountered ' couldn't care less' service Not to be... More

I went to Antica Porta so many times for dinner last summer. It was recommended by very good Italian friends and it is true, they serve the best pizza on earth. More than delicious, fresh and tasty. The prices are reasonable, the service is excellent and the owner is such a friendly person. GO THERE, SERIOUSLY GO THERE! One tip:... More

italy is famous for its cuisine, amongst other things! Michelin star fine dining,Panninis, gelato and Pizza. Doing it like the locals do should all be part of your holiday and this is the way they do it,great thin crust pizza Florence style,or if you must thicker and Naples style! Any toppings to suit your taste and a litre of "loose" wine......don't ask... More
