An okay experience, but we didn't bother to return even though it was round the corner from our apartment. Didn't take credit cards so a real disadvantage in my eyes.

This restaurant was recommended by the woman we were renting from. It has been a family-run business since the 70's. Dad is the chef, and his 2 (or 3) sons work the floor. We really enjoyed some fine Italian food. I had a sea bream dish - never heard of it - but it was delicious. The brothers were very... More

On a little cobblestoned street not far from the Uffizi Gallery. A homey, quiet, tastefully decorated place, with a diverse menu, with many seafood choices. Very reasonable prices. Small, friendly staff. Roberto, the chef owner, pops in and out of the kitchen. We felt well cared for and every dish was ample and tasty. Frankly, we hated to leave!

After trudging around the Uffizi Gallery we passed Trattoria Roberto in a side street leading back to the river. It was closed, but the doorway display and the menu looked enticing, so we decided to come back for dinner. Good decision. After more than two weeks in Italy, in Milan and then touring Tuscany, we have eaten a good serving... More

We stumbled upon this restaurant after a busy day of sightseeing, and so lucky we were! Trattoria Roberto seems very family oriented. The chef came from the kitchen to see if our food was ok (an older gentleman, who seemed to be a perfectionist). The servers were very attentive and made great recommendations. The basic bruschetta pomadoro was excellent! And... More

We knew it would be good when it was full of locals including the police. Food was delicious and home cooked. This is a traditional Tuscan trattoria so don't expect a fancy environment or silver service. Waiting staff were very friendly and courteous. Chef came out and had a chat in english. Prices were very reasonable (EUR60 for 3 appetiser... More

As a general rule I avoid eating in the center of Florence but we had just left the museum and wanted a small meal. The prices were good, the meal was better than average and the service was excellent. It was a happy accident

Went on the recommendation of a local Carabinieri officer, and we were not disappointed. Everything was excellent; stuffed calamari and salmon carpaccio on arugula appetizers, sausage and beans, ravioli with meat sauce, and mixed seafood pasta. Good portions, and reasonable prices for the quality of the food. The owner, Roberto, came out from the kitchen to make sure everything was... More
