We went there as recommended by another restaurant which was closing just as we arrived (Mangia Pizza Firenze). It is really worth your money and the ambience is typically Italiano but you get what you expect for a Pizza in Italy so not a Whaooh moment. Please note that not easy to eat inside and do not expect a formal... More

This place was recommended from a friend that lived in Florence, Italy herself and it was her favorite place to get pizza- so I had to go!!! The outside is a very unassuming place- small and on a quiet corner of a street. When you first get inside it's full of energy and people are chatting up conversations all over... More

Everything from the staff and service to the ambience and location - and of course the pizza(!) is a must-do on each trip to Florence. The menu is simple, the pizzas are authentic, the ingredients are fresh, the piazziolos and owners are Napoletan = the perfect pizza recipe!

This was definitely the best pizza we had in all of Italy. There was a long line out the door but it only took us about 15 minutes to get a table and our pizza. It was fun being able to watch it be made. The pizza is also so cheap for only 5 euro each and a big portion... More

Saw this place on Diners, Drive-ins, and Dives so we decided to check it out while in Florence. It's a short walk from the Berchielli where we stayed. I read about the long lines, so we arrived at about 7 when they opened and still had to wait on line! We ended up being #25, which wasn't too bad. The... More

I lived in Florence for two years and every Thursday we would go to Gusta pizza. Some weeks we would eat there two or three times. The pizza is just that good and that affordable. Not to mention the guys who own it and work there are all amazing. No pizza outside of Italy will ever live up to Gusta... More

Tiny restaurant which was packed full of people. The best vibe and delicious pizza! Really reasonable prices and I would recommend getting a ticket to to sit in the restaurant as opposed to having it to take away. I usually dont like to eat at the same place more than once when we have a short time in a new... More

Staying in Pitti

Neighborhood Profile
Pitti
Pitti is a neighborhood characterized by art and history. Renaissance architecture such as Pitti Palace, which houses five museums alone, introduces visitors to the green lungs of spectacular Boboli Gardens. Any visitor can wander through statues, fountains, and panoramic viewpoints. Around the garden, treasures like the Museum of Natural History of the Specola and Villa Bardini guide guests through Florence as the cradle of the Renaissance. End the day with an aperitif in Piazza della Passera or the more romantic Forte di Belvedere, which offers an amazing panoramic view of the entire city.
