Best meal we had in Florence. Food was great and probably the best service we had in Italy. Great selections and variety of choices and wonderful desert cart.

This resturante was across Borgo Ognissanti from our apartment. We ate here several times. It is a tad pricey, but the food and service are outstanding. Veal dishes are especially well done. The tiramisu is the best we have ever had ANYWHERE.

Stumbled upon this restaurant during our 2nd visit to Florence. We have lived, and travelled, in Italy for 18 months and this is one of the best restaurants we've been to here. Interesting, I read "overpriced" and "too friendly" in previous reviews. We've paid the same price, or more, for a meal which tastes of cardboard compared to the quality... More

A relatively small restaurant but just incredible food. My husband & I tried 2 of their specialty dishes and my husband now has a very high bar for sauces and pasta. Our 2 girls still talk about how amazing their meal was and the special

OMG, this family restaurant led by Claudio the proprietor is without doubt the best restaurant we've visited during our trip to Florence. Ambiance - A+; Service - A++; Food - A+++. Only steps away from the Grand Hotel Villa Medici, we will definitely be back. Claudio takes special pride in the family business and joins his wife in making this... More

As a foodie abroad student, I've spent the last 4 months trying every good restaurant in Italy. This may just be my new favorite. Yes it is full of Americans, no it's not necessarily "authentic tuscan cuisine" but it is some of the best food I've ever had. Highlights included the friendly, attenttive service (you'd be shocked how rare it... More

I have heard many things about this place and in the end I believe that it is a bit overrated. The owner is very friendly but almost too friendly. Kept watching us eat and then would come over and tell us some history of it and what not. The John Travolta is very good, but way too expensive for the... More

We were welcomed profusely by the owner and looked forward to a good meal. The starter was home made pate and very enjoyable. I dared to ask for my fillet steak in a pepper sauce to be cooked medium, this was met with disapproval. The steak when it arrived was raw in the middle and I sent it back... twice.... More

Some might say it is expensive but they miss the big picture because it is not (we did a half-dozen others) and is just the best. We were guided, gently but intelligently through the maze of good things. Also, they did not hesitate to take the time to explain, take into account allergies and have us taste 3-4 wines in... More
