Simply Divine!!

A relatively small restaurant but just incredible food. My husband & I tried 2 of their specialty dishes and my husband now has a very high bar for sauces and pasta. Our 2 girls still talk about how amazing their meal was and the special

OMG, this family restaurant led by Claudio the proprietor is without doubt the best restaurant we've visited during our trip to Florence. Ambiance - A+; Service - A++; Food - A+++. Only steps away from the Grand Hotel Villa Medici, we will definitely be back. Claudio takes special pride in the family business and joins his wife in making this... More

As a foodie abroad student, I've spent the last 4 months trying every good restaurant in Italy. This may just be my new favorite. Yes it is full of Americans, no it's not necessarily "authentic tuscan cuisine" but it is some of the best food I've ever had. Highlights included the friendly, attenttive service (you'd be shocked how rare it... More

I have heard many things about this place and in the end I believe that it is a bit overrated. The owner is very friendly but almost too friendly. Kept watching us eat and then would come over and tell us some history of it and what not. The John Travolta is very good, but way too expensive for the... More

We were welcomed profusely by the owner and looked forward to a good meal. The starter was home made pate and very enjoyable. I dared to ask for my fillet steak in a pepper sauce to be cooked medium, this was met with disapproval. The steak when it arrived was raw in the middle and I sent it back... twice.... More

Some might say it is expensive but they miss the big picture because it is not (we did a half-dozen others) and is just the best. We were guided, gently but intelligently through the maze of good things. Also, they did not hesitate to take the time to explain, take into account allergies and have us taste 3-4 wines in... More

Warm welcome but that was about it. The food was okayish but not brilliant but the bill was certainly way over the top for what you get.

Great food. Great service. The husband/wife owners were so friendly. The husband is so proud of the food and goes out of his way to make sure that his guests have a great time. The zucchini flowers were incredible.

We loved our meal and the experience at Il Profeta. Since we are Americans we ate at 7:00 and were the first to arrive to an empty restaurant. We found if you are the first diners, this carries a tradition of a few extra dishes to try at no charge. As we looked around, every table was reserved for a... More
