Great little gem, best osso buco

From the outside you might mistake this place for a tourist trap, especially since it’s super close to the Uffizi. Don’t be fooled. This great mom and pop restaurant had one of THE best Osso Buco’s I’ve ever had. Add a Pappardelle with duck and you’ve got yourself one helluva meal. It’s a... read more

My friends and I went to the place right before they opened without making s reservation. The staff were setting up and eating their dinner and kindly opened the door when we were inquiring about being able to eat there that night, and we were in luck! They had a 2 hour opening for a table of 5. The meal... More

There are so many good restaurants in Florence but this is definitely one of the best little gems. The place is tiny and when we arrived, there was not one American in there (which is a good sign for me). The place is small and cozy and has a very down home feel....nothing pretentious....seems like it is family run. The... More

This was the best meal I have ever had. The olive oil is off the charts, the pasta melts in your mouth. The mozzarella is to die for. When you are there, you feel like family. My all time favorite restaurant ever. Wish we ate there every night! MUST GO!!!!

Place is very small and quite overcrowded. Staff service is not really great but food is divine and prices are very reasonable.

This restaurant is hard to get into and it's no wonder. It's tiny, family-owned, and everything we ate was delicious. We started with a raw artichoke salad, followed by pasta with zucchini flowers. Our mains included beef stew, stuffed artichokes and veal chops. Ordered two pieces of cake and a cooked pear. Again, just delicious. Great value! It's just the... More

I went here with two friends on our trip to Florence. We booked ahead which was just as well as it was full. We all ordered pasta - the menu is full of interesting ingredients and combinations so it was hard to choose. One got ravioli, the other got fettucini with artichoke and I got rigatoni with zucchini flowers and... More

Wasn't best pleased as a single diner to be stuck on a poor table rammed in the corner. But needs must I suppose. Can't say I was bowled over by the food, as others seem to have been. Would have been so easy to make presentation a bit more appetising, and I had the impression that the place was living... More

We love this place, we come every trip to Florence. Staff are great and friendly. Food is seasonal but they have a few dishes they serve year round - the duck ragu pappardelle - is exceptional. Actually all their pastas are really tasty.

Staying in Uffizi

Neighborhood Profile
Uffizi
Every visitor coming to Florence for the first time will immediately identify with Uffizi. As in past times, passing through Via dei Calzaiuoli, you can reach the city center, the Florence that everybody dreams of. In just a few steps, visitors can experience the rare beauty of the capital of the Renaissance. walking delighted across Palazzo Vecchio and overlooking Piazza della Signoria, up to the Loggia of the Uffizi where it is possible to fully taste the talent of the best artists who animated Florence over the centuries. When the sun goes down, there’s nothing better than a walk along the river Arno up to the ancient bridge, Ponte Vecchio. It is full of jewels and decorated by the colors captured in postcards.
