This is a wonderful local flavor restaurant.

Very basic, to the point place. Seatings at 7 and 9:15 - really that means you can get in line and be seated in order. We ended up sharing a table with another couple and had a wonderful conversation. Caprese had the freshest tomatoes and the lamb/potatoes dish was grilled to perfection. If... read more

There are thousands of small restaurants in Florence and this has to be one of the best. Don't be fooled by its having only about eight tables. This place punches way above its weight. First serving is 7:30 at which time a dozen diners, all with reservations, are standing around the door at via dei Magazzini 3r, waiting for the... More

If you are looking for a true Italian dining experience in Florence than this is the place. The food is incredible and a mix of locals and tourists make an interesting crowd. Make a reservation and don't be afraid to eat late. In fact we made reservations for the next night when we finished. After 5 days in Italy (Rome and... More

Close to the mayhem of central Florence, we stumbled into this packed, tiny trattoria on a little sidestreet just off Piazza delle Signoria. Based on years of experience in Florence, the city has hit a new low in un-visitability (why? American tourists literally fill the streets). This what Florentine traditional cooking, cooked by and served by people who care about... More

Vini e Vecchi is a small, cozy osteria in Florence. Definitely need a reservation to get a table here. Many people came when the restaurant opened and were turned away. The service was great but what really made this restaurant stand out was the food. The menu is simple but the dishes are truly outstanding. We started off with the... More

First - make a reservation because you do not want to miss out on this place! It's a small family run restaurant and the food is delicious. We ordered many things and split them all - the prosciutto and buffalo mozzarella - BEYOND! So was everything else. I can't say enough about the food. It's quite small so be prepared... More

I came here based on all the positive review on TripAdvisor and I was not disappointed. Family-run restaurant with an unbeatable quality and value in the center of Florence just off Piazza della Signoria, close to the Gucci Museum. Although I was dining alone, Tommaso, the owner's son and my waiter, would make sure to check up on me even... More

First off, it needs to be stressed that this restaurant is definitely on the small side (only ~10 tables or so), so while reservations are generally important in Italy, it's much more so here and I recommend you make them as soon as you can. That aside, the service and the food are top notch. This was by far at... More

A wonderfully warm and friendly bistro. You need to have reservations as the place is small. The writers clearly enjoy their work and want you to enjoy your meal too. The artichoke salad is great, and you can watch them make it before your eyes. Pappardelle with duck ragu is excellent, but the ossobuco is just ok. House wines are... More

I am echoing what's been said here! One of the dishes we had was the best pasta we've every had. it was using pasta called paccheri with creamy zucchini and safron sauce and it was incredible as was spaghetti artichoke. They use the fresh ingredients that's in season change menu accordingly. As for dessert, Rasberry tiramisu was fantastic as well.... More
