Excellent authentic casual lunch

Lucky to find this little gem - a great oasis from the crowded tourists and tours. When we were there we had a wonderful lamb ragout with papardalle. It's affordable, local and awesome.

Quality beats quantity! Only a few items on the menu but you will find something you like for sure! Pasta, rizotto, meat, caprese, all local stuff etc...the staff were very friendly, joking with us...when we paid they forgot to charge our wine but they only said: no problema, regalo :D

We got a duck ragu pasta and a ravioli. The ravioli was okay. The pasta was pretty good, because it was homemade. Overall, pretty good, but not as amazing as I'd expected.

The praises for this restaurant are warranted. Everything we ordered was delicious. Highlights include the beef stew with the sweetest green beans, pappardelle with duck ragu, grilled pork chop which was very tender and flavorful and the maringato dessert (I can eat 3 slices of these in one sitting). Seated beside us were a number of repeat customers, both locals... More

The food was simply fantastic! The best restaurant we went to in Florence. The dishes we ordered looked simple when we saw the menu, but the flavours were outstanding. Traditional Italian food made in an updated fashion. I can highly recommend it!

Went there because of Tripadivisor. Tried to call for reservations but no answer so just walked over and they gave us the last table of four for 9:15. Its a very small place so you are lucky if you get in. We had the prosciutto and mozzarella and brochette starters. They were great and we put the extra mozzarella on... More

What a wonderful experience, service and meal we enjoyed. It's must that you reserve for dinner due to the intimate size of the restaurant. Family run and family friendly service. Our meal was delicious and house wines nicely complemented our food. A fun evening and one to be experienced during your visit to Florence.

Food was good, service needs improvement. The waiters were constantly overwhelmed even when there were relatively few patrons in the dining room. Perhaps this is only a summer phenomenon when they hire students who don't have a lot of experience waiting tables....

This was our favorite dinner in Florence. Make a reservation in advance and enjoy the great service and home cooked food. Everything we ordered was amazing, and be sure to save room for dessert. Their tiramisu was the best I've ever had. Also, the house wine was very good (and very inexpensive). Skip the big restaurants with the glossy food... More

This was a small restaurant with a dozen or so tables so booking is a necessity. Restaurant is close to Piazzo Vecchio, couple mins walk down a side street. We went for the 21:15 sitting (they only seat at 19:00 and 21:15) and only had to wait about 2 mins before we were seated. Food was really good - can... More

Staying in Uffizi

Neighborhood Profile
Uffizi
Every visitor coming to Florence for the first time will immediately identify with Uffizi. As in past times, passing through Via dei Calzaiuoli, you can reach the city center, the Florence that everybody dreams of. In just a few steps, visitors can experience the rare beauty of the capital of the Renaissance. walking delighted across Palazzo Vecchio and overlooking Piazza della Signoria, up to the Loggia of the Uffizi where it is possible to fully taste the talent of the best artists who animated Florence over the centuries. When the sun goes down, there’s nothing better than a walk along the river Arno up to the ancient bridge, Ponte Vecchio. It is full of jewels and decorated by the colors captured in postcards.
