We planned to go to a different restaurant which was full and very close to Pepo. Pepo was a good surprise, we came 10min before kitchen close but got all the ordered dishes and that were great. We ordered for appetizer the marinated herring which was good but the taste stayed for a long time. The two main dishes were... More

Small neat ambience. Clean place the Wines were good. We had some good fettuccine Alfredo and roasted beef and potatoes which was good. I think The staff were not to helpful because they didn't know English to well. We had some Carmel custard which was okay

We dined at Pepo's twice, on the recommendation of a friend in Florence. The first night was a good experience, but the place was filled with groups of really loud tourists who seemed to overwhelm the calm and reserved staff. The food was good enough to try for a second time - and we were pleasantly rewarded. This place is... More

Pepo is a small osteria so it's recommended to make a reservation. The food is tipical Tuscan/florentine therefor it looks robust but tastes great. Staff is friendly and really makes sure you have a nice meal.

When we visit Florence we always dine one night at Pepo's. Our favorite dish are the meatballs but all dishes are very nice. It is just a nice little restaurant with good italian food and wine and friendly prices. What more could you want....! Because it is a small restaurant it is wise to make a reservation.

We stumbled upon Pepo after realizing that a suggestion we had was only open for lunch. Luckily we made it early enough that they could seat us without a reservation. My husband had delicious lasagna and I had the sliced beef filet. My dinner was one if the best I have ever had and we promptly mad reservations to return... More

This restaurant was recommended by acquaintances and it didn't disappoint. We had dinner one night and returned the next day for lunch. Prices are extremely reasonable. We enjoyed the peppercorn beef; spaghetti with clams; pumpkin soup; lasagne (béchamel sauce); tagliatelle with porcini mushrooms and all were amazing. Restaurant is very near Central Market and reservations are recommended for dinner or... More

This little restaurant is a treasure! Just a few steps from our hotel (Bottecelli) with an unassuming entrance...don't be fooled! Chat with the waiter/waiteresses and they'll be happy to talk about the dishes. Of the 5 nights we stayed in Florence, we ate there 3x...great experience...we'll be back!

Pepo has great food, great prices, great service. We were so lucky to have it 20 meters from our hotel door. I is worth a visit and I am sure you will repeat.
