Excellent meal in Florence!

We stopped in after seeing this restaurant mentioned in a Rick Steves book. The service was friendly, the prices reasonable, and the food delicious. Its location is close to the Central Market, making it easy to find. It is a small restaurant, catering to a mix of tourists and locals. A new... read more

Ate here twice on a recent visit. Basic, fresh, well cooked Tuscan cuisine in a small, friendly atmosphere. Always had to book a day ahead as it was so popular, they turned nearly as many people away as they served. Great experience.

A reservation gets you better seating in this small osteria, which was full on Saturday by 8:00. They brought us a small prosecco to start. We wanted a light dinner and so didn't sample too many dishes, but did fall in love with their beef with green peppercorn sauce. Also tried their fried chicken and rabbit which was served just... We went here for lunch as suggested by our accommodation host. The food was unpretentious. We opted for pappardelle con chingiale (wild boar widepasta). It was made to perfection. We also ordered side dishes of spinach and beans. Both are nice too. The waiters were friendly and they also has the menu in English for those who do not speak... More

Our favorite Osteria in Florence. If you're here for Bistecca Fiorentina, better reconsider in favor of beef fillet with green pepper sauce. You won't regret it.

My mom won't be happy to hear this, but this place had the best lasagne I've ever tasted! Sooo delicious. Got the restaurant recommend by a friend and I can only pass that recommendation on. And the prices in there are ridiculous, 10 Euro for lasagne, 10 euro for a bottle of nice rosé wine.. A true find!

This was one of our favorite restaurants during our time in Italy. Small, intimate, great food and very friendly service.

Close to the Mercato Centrale, this restaurant was busy in the evening and we were fortunate to walk in and get a table without a reservation. I had the tagliata (grilled steak on arugula with shaved parmesan) and my friend tried the daily specials. All the food was fantastic. The service was a bit slow (because they were busy), but... We stayed in an apartment just above this restaurant and were delighted to have such an amazing culinary experience on our doorstep after walking our legs off all day. Very friendly service & excellent food. Thanks

the title says it all - you simply MUST try it (if you have any space left in your stomach after the rest of the meal) overall very good experience in a rusty but elegant place. definitely worth a stop during a visit to Florence!
