Great Dinner

Enjoyed this establishment. Food was wonderful. We were able to try some different dishes authentic to the area. Lovely little place.

My wife and I had a GPS failure in the back streets of Florence, and ended up choosing this place more or less at random. We arrived slightly before 8 PM, which is about the latest you can expect to get a table at a decent restaurant in Italy without a booking, and were not disappointed. The star of the... More

We went to Osteria Pepo on the recommendation of the staff from our hotel, and boy, were they ever right. We loved the place immediately: the atmosphere, the service, the wine choices and definitely the food. Plus the prices are very reasonable considering the central location of the place and the quality of food you get. Indeed, we liked the... More

We went to this place because "Mario" was full. It was a very pleasant experience overall. The four food was good and the waiters were friendly. They were able to recommend dishes, which is nice.

We stayed in an apartment just above this restaurant and several previous occupants had recommended it. Lovely atmosphere. We were able to discuss with the waiter the best way to order the Steak Florentine, which meant we also enjoyed starter & desert. The steak was to die for. Fabulous evening with just a short climb up the stairs back to... More

We were recommended to visit this place for dinner by our hotel (Collodi) about 30 metres away............Everything about this place is brilliant - in an understated way! We ordered a variety of starters and mains along with the House Chianti. Wine was ideal, and starters were lovely. The STAR of the show was the Florentine Steak - a 1.4kg T-bone... More

We went for lunch, we were hungry and did not wanrt to wait for the restaurant next door which was very crowded with people waiting outside. (I don't remember the name but it had a TripAdvisor exellence badge on the door). We decided on Osteria Pepo next door, a small place with excellent service; but what blew us away was... More

This restaurant was recommended by our hotel which is just up the street. It's a small charming dining room with a warm vibe. We had a wonderful meal and the service was very friendly and efficient. The house red was very good for the price! We did not have reservations but they were able to seat us. While we were... More

We were in Florence four days and this was our best dining experience. It was recommended by friends who had previously traveled to Florence. As we really wanted to try this place we made reservations via email from the USA. The restaurant is of modest size and places tables with reasonable space between guests. I would recommend a reservation to... More
