Wonderful Restaurant in Wonderful City!

This gem is well worth searching out. Perfect small Italian Restaurant! Excellent meal sized salads and the pear ravioli is great! Service is good if not downright great!

Caffe Conquinarius was recommended to us by a friend and it lived up to its reputation. The food was delicious - beautiful mixes of rustic tastes. The proportions were perfect and service excellent. It certainly stood out as there are plenty of mediocre restaurants in Florence but you feel you got the geniune article here. The clientelle was mostly italian.

Absolutely fantastic food. Large portions. Gastronomic delight - particularly the wild boar! Would highly recommend.

Coquinarius was recommended to us by friends who visit Florence every year. We totally enjoyed the ravioli with pear and pecorino as it was both light tasty. The setting is quaint and the ambience charming. In regard to the service , we were very disappointed . They seem to be understaffed and constantly running but not attentive at all to... More

We were lucky to find this ennoteca just by chance walking by. The decor is light and airy, with high vaulted ceilings and a fair amount of space around the tables. The furniture is distressed style, unfortunately our chairs were rather hard. We just had a sharing platter of antipasti and wine as a light supper, but the menu offered... More

The Pear and Pecorino Ravioli - there is nothing nor has there ever been anything I disliked about this restaurant - except that it used to be too small - but they moved 4 or 5 doors down the street and there is more room/tables but not one ounce of the quality/perfection has diminished. It is always my highest recommendation... More

Service: The service is not the highlight of this restaurant. When they are with you, they are fantastic, but there are 3 people working a very busy restaurant. If you are in a rush- this is not the place for you. But if you have the time to enjoy a wonderful meal, then its worth the experience. Atmosphere: Mostly tourists... More

When you're in Florence, you end up eating so much pasta and sometimes all you want is a large juicy delicious salad. Proper salads are very hard to find in Florence, until I found my saviour in the form of Caffe Coquinarius. Every time I visit, i make sure to pass by to have my Rustica salad (which has delicious... We dined here for lunch on a Sunday afternoon with Florentine friends. They took care of the ordering but recommended the same popular dishes everyone raves about (pear ravioli in particular). That's what I ordered and it deserves its reputation. The pear is subtle but is so inviting and unexpected in each bite. And the ravioli itself is a little... More

I have visited this restaurant 3 times over the past couple of years (with the menu seeming to have some changes with each visit) and have been consistently impressed with its fresh ingredients and innovative dishes -- venison carpaccio, beef tartare, a wonderful wild boar stew, excellent salads (hard to find in Italy), and great pastas. The restaurant also has... More
