Modern ennoteca eating

We were lucky to find this ennoteca just by chance walking by. The decor is light and airy, with high vaulted ceilings and a fair amount of space around the tables. The Pear and Pecorino Ravioli - there is nothing nor has there ever been anything I disliked about this restaurant - except that it used to be too small - but they moved 4 or 5 doors down the street and there is more room/tables but not one ounce of the quality/perfection has diminished. It is always my highest recommendation... More

Service: The service is not the highlight of this restaurant. When they are with you, they are fantastic, but there are 3 people working a very busy restaurant. If you are in a rush- this is not the place for you. But if you have the time to enjoy a wonderful meal, then its worth the experience. Atmosphere: Mostly tourists... More

When you're in Florence, you end up eating so much pasta and sometimes all you want is a large juicy delicious salad. Proper salads are very hard to find in Florence, until I found my saviour in the form of Caffe Coquinarius. Every time I visit, i make sure to pass by to have my Rustica salad (which has delicious... We dined here for lunch on a Sunday afternoon with Florentine friends. They took care of the ordering but recommended the same popular dishes everyone raves about (pear ravioli in particular). That's what I ordered and it deserves its reputation. The pear is subtle but is so inviting and unexpected in each bite. And the ravioli itself is a little... More

I have visited this restaurant 3 times over the past couple of years (with the menu seeming to have some changes with each visit) and have been consistently impressed with its fresh ingredients and innovative dishes -- venison carpaccio, beef tartare, a wonderful wild boar stew, excellent salads (hard to find in Italy), and great pastas. The restaurant also has... More

This restaurant appeared to be popular with both tourists and locals. We enjoyed great dishes prepared with flair. The waiter was very friendly and helpful with the menu. A place to return to!

Discovered Coquinarius some years ago, but everytime we are in Florence we surely don't miss to enjoy a great lunch or dinner. Positioning has been moved of really two steps in the past two years, now allowing more space for tables but still maintaining a nice and intimate atmosphere and - mostly - still with a great positioning just round... Coquinarius was recommended to us by our hotel. It was pretty easy to find and once we arrived we were warmly welcomed and seated right away. Florence was the third place my wife and I had visited so far on our honeymoon and we were very impressed by the service and friendliness of Coquinarius. We asked for recommendations on wine... While you are in Florence you must visit this restaurant. We read reviews after it was recommended by our hotel and it lived up to expectations. It is famous for Pear and cheese ravioli .. and you have to try this. It is like nothing I have ever eaten. A fantastic fresh combination. I can see why they are famous... More
