Found this place via Fodors. The food was pretty good. The meats in particular were quality. Didn't care a lot for the vibe and atmosphere. The place was only about half full when we arrived and the service seemed a bit lax. Nevertheless, you won't feel like you wasted a precious dining night in Florence eating here. It's just that... Enotica Coquinarius holds a special place in my heart and on my palate. My husband and I dined here in May. We had dined here at the recommendation of the manager at the Dei Mori B&B seven years prior on our honeymoon. We had such an amazing experience, we wanted to return. Niccolo had recommended wonderful food and wine and... More

Ate there twice over a period of 3 days - once for lunch, once for dinner. Both times impressed by level of service & quality of food. Staff were very helpful/ informative with both food & wine selection. Highly recommend.

Food was good and had some really traditional Tuscan options on it. However the environment, service and presentation were all really modern which added to a great experience. The wine list was superb! We we were lucky to get in without a booking and got the last table however lots of people were turned away so bookings recommended!

Casual open restaurant with some communal tables. Our family of four had the mixed crostini (8€) and the mixed appetizers (for 2) to share (22€). Excellent quality, portions, and price. We also got one of the crostados which I would pass on given the price. For mains, we had pasta - 2 pear and ricotta tortellini (great dish), rabbit pappardelle... More

After many disappointments with other restaurants in Florence, I am so glad, that we found this amazing restaurant in the heart of Florence. For me it was very hard to find a great eating place in Florence, because everything is around pizza/pasta. This place had everything from meat to vegetarian, pastas, antipasti, salads, bruschettas and desserts- restaurant with terrific salad... More

It is on a quiet side street, one block south from Duomo (off Via del Calzaioli, few steps down from GROM). As other places in Florence, there are no signs hanging over the street. You have to walk close by to find places. We were here twice for lunch and dinner. If offers a good variety of food on the... More

One of the best meals we ate in Italy. We started with the mixed crostini; all were delicious. The pear ravioli was out of this world. The combination of flavors was perfect. My husband had the rabbit pappardelle. The rabbit was perfectly cooked and well seasoned. We will definitely be finding our way back to this restaurant.

Make sure that you try the ricotta and pear tortellini - it's just amazingly good for such a simple dish. I woke up the next day reliving the flavour of the tortellini. it was that tasty We had an assortment of carpaccio - wild boar, beef and venison to name some of the meats and they were just so good!... If you are tired of one trattoria after another with the same dishes, come here. Great great pastas, antipasto incredible and otimas dolcis! You will be served by the couple that owns it and the service will as it should be, nothing more or less. Go for it.
