Excellent and very friendly Wine Bar

Coquinarius was recommended to us by our hotel. It was pretty easy to find and once we arrived we were warmly welcomed and seated right away. While you are in Florence you must visit this restaurant. We read reviews after it was recommended by our hotel and it lived up to expectations. It is famous for Pear and cheese ravioli .. and you have to try this. It is like nothing I have ever eaten. A fantastic fresh combination. I can see why they are famous... More

A very friendly and genuine warm welcome! They gave us lots of help with the extensive wine menu, suggesting 3 bottles and bringing all of them to our table. The food was creative, local and traditional, and as other reviewers have mentioned, the ravioli with pear and cheese is extremely classy and I highly recommend it! They also did a... More

The Caffe' Coquinarius tops a search for "Best Ravioli [in Florence]" - something I had been looking for all over Italy. The pear ravioli, what seems to be one of the most popular items, was absolutely the best ravioli I've ever had. The steak tartare with artichoke and hazelnuts was also delicate and fresh, just wonderful. The service was fairly... More

The food here was decent but the menu was a little bit too adventurous for our liking. We decided to only do the antipasti and while there was a good selection some of the meat and pate were a little too out of the ordinary for us. The wine was good and reasonably priced, however for just bread, water, one... More

My wife and I visited this restaraunt in 2008 and again in 2014. My wife had the pear ravioli both times and on each occasion is was fantastic and just as good 6 years later. I had the pasta bolognese that was also excellent. Owner is very friendly and accommodating. Highly recommend a visit here!

After a week in Tuscany, we were relieved to see a less traditional menu! Crostinis, carpaccio a and salads were imaginatively designed and prepared with the freshest of ingredients. The pear and cheese ravioli was a highlight as were the wines which were so skillfully suggested by our wait staff. Best meal in Italy so far!

Best restaurant in Italy so far. Great service and food! The other restaurants were over priced and bad service. Waiters are really nice. Would recommend it.

Having read other reviews my wife and I looked forward to a dining experience. We waited thirty minutes before anyone asked if we required a drink. the food was ok but nothing special. We will not be going back.

Had a great lunch at Coquinarius. Had a salad of arugula, ham and pine nuts which we shared. My husband had pear and cheese ravioli while I had the stewed beef with white beans. Both were well prepared. We had eaten in the restaurant 4 years ago and we enjoyed it now as much as then. Please pay attention that... More
