We were warmly welcomed and enjoyed a glass of Prosecco in the bar sat by the fire with an incredible view of the River Arno and city. The restaurant had received its... More

I booked this as a real treat for New Years eve and what an absolute disaster that was. When we arrived we were made to feel out of place as we did not have jackets on - even after I had checked twice with them to see if there was a dress code and was told no on both occasions.... More

The restaurant is also located about a half block west of the Ponte Vecchio Bridge on the south bank of the river. The Borgo San Jacopo is only open for dinner from 7:30 PM – 10:00 PM. Good service and location. Vine list is impressive. Have a couple menu set, the classic Tuscany and modern. Estimate price min 200 for two.

The food at this restaurant is so amazing that its made me adjust my rating scale for restaurants. On my old scale it would be a 12 on a scale from 1 to 10. On my new scale it is a 10 as it sets the standard for all others to be compared to. When you go here to dine,... More

Yes it's pricey so don't go if ur on a budget. If you are celebrating like we were than it can be everything you want it to be. Great service and help with wine list. The menu is small and eclectic. The "veggies from the garden" was not my favorite. It was a very strange dish although a beautiful presentation.... More

Staying in Pitti

Neighborhood Profile
Pitti
Pitti is a neighborhood characterized by art and history. Renaissance architecture such as Pitti Palace, which houses five museums alone, introduces visitors to the green lungs of spectacular Boboli Gardens. Any visitor can wander through statues, fountains, and panoramic viewpoints. Around the garden, treasures like the Museum of Natural History of the Specola and Villa Bardini guide guests through Florence as the cradle of the Renaissance. End the day with an aperitif in Piazza della Passera or the more romantic Forte di Belvedere, which offers an amazing panoramic view of the entire city.
