Friends of ours told us about a great experience they had at this restaurant and that we should try the new chef. We had known this restaurant from a previous trip and liked it then. The location and view - if you are lucky to get a table with a view over Ponte Vecchio - is already stunning. The creativity... More

As you visit Borgo San Jacopo, stop by a wine store named Borgo Sapori Toscana. There, a husband and wife shop, you will meet Cheryl and Franco. I have come to them for wine recommendations for over 5 years and it never fails! They have amazing gourmet products. A must see!

My wife and I are self confessed foodies and really enjoy imaginative, well executed cuisine. Being from Scotland, however, we are always suspicious of restaurants that take themselves too seriously. When we went to L'enclume in the English Lake District, for example, we could hardly contain our mirth at the hilarious extents the chef seemed to be going to to... More

After walking Ponte Vecchio my husband & I decided to have lunch at Borgo San Jacopo & we were glad that we did! We ordered a nice white wine and a light lunch that was served in a divided box. It was just enough food & the service was great! The terrace outside is where we were seated & we... More

Dear Mrs Bakerswoodfox, Thank you so much for chosing the Borgo san Jacopo restaurant and for your positive comments on food and service. Our small terrace outside is looking on the river and have a special view on the Ponte Vecchio. It is a very wonderful place to enjoy the meal. We are looking forward to welcoming you back to... This is the first restaurant we eat in florence. The restaurant is very romantic with 4 outdoor tables facing the river. The menu is quite variety ranging from one of the best tomatoes salad, duck ravioli pasta and pigeon cooked Milanese style which I think it's unique and good. The fish with tomatoes sauce is probably the best dish they... More

The best view of the Ponte Vecchio and the food is an italian modern cuisine. The zucca soup looks like a cappucino but is a delicious appetizer.

I found this restaurant by accident as I was trying to escape the throngs of people on the streets. The restaurant is nestled away in the Hotel Lungarno along the Arno River. I felt so lucky that I was able to discover it. I had a wonderful relaxing lunch as I sat by the river in total peace and quiet.... More

We found this restaurant when heading towards the Ponte Vecchio - it's part of the Hotel Lungarno which I had tried to book earlier but there was no vacancy (we stayed at Porta Rossa which was excellent and so regrets whatsoever). The restaurant overlooked the Arno River and our table allowed by wife to face the Ponte Vecchio as I... More

The restaurant is very pretty on the inside and the service is great. We did the chef's top 5 tasting and skipped the wine pairing as we had already been drinking other stuff prior to coming here for dinner. If you can get yourself a seat on the balcony then the experience seems that much better. It's such a pretty... More

We had the tasting menu with five courses, seem to remember it was something like 100Euros/head, mainly fish, and it was amazing. Starter was a very novel take on tricolore, then something with prawns, then monkfish tartare, then some other fish - apologies, it's a while since we went - and then a really interesting dessert Sit on the balcony,...
