Stumbled across this great little restaurant for lunch one day. We couldn't have been more thrilled with our find. Excellent bolognese, great local wine and the tiramisu was to die for!

I think it's quite a hidden gem because in order to get to the restaurant you have to walk down the stairs. The chief of the restaurant has greeted me and my friend as if we were celebrities and has recommended the food to order, porcini were just delivered so we chose the tagliatelle with porcini. The ambiance is so... More

I fond this place by chance and was attracted by the menu which had somewhat more sophisticated options than standard basis restaurants while still having fairly reasonable prices. Had ossobuco with spinach which was delicious and a huge portion. The waiter even suggested I do not order any additional side dishes since that would be enough and it was indeed.... More

We visited this restaurant on the advice of my nephew who had studied abroad in Florence. It is centrally located near Santo Spirito. The other reviewers are correct that the staff did not speak English, but we managed just fine, with a basic vocabulary of Italian. Our waiter was friendly and helpful. The food was delicious and so was the... More

We had a great set meal. 4 dishes to a reasonable price. Short walk from Ponte Veccio. Nice atmosphare and good food. I'll come back.

We stumbled upon this restaurant while looking for a place recommended by an out of date guide book. We were largish family group of non Italian speakers and were served quickly and efficiently by very professional staff. Between us we ordered various pasta, pizza, parmagano and is an oso bucco all from different parts of the menu , which in our... More

My wife and I pass this place all of the time and decided to give it shot. It was a busy Friday night and we were seated right away without a reservation. For 48 euro, we got the bruschetta pomodorro, tortelli, tagliatelle, strawberry cheesecake, bottle of water and 1 liter of house wine. The food was good...not spectacular but not... More

Was recommended this restaurant by a Florentine and was not disappointed. The food was delicious- a friend and I shared the pasta sampler and it was one of the most delicious meals I had while in Florence. Unfortunately the comments about unfriendly service are accurate- staff didn't seem happy about serving tourists but perked up when we started speaking Italian... More

We walked in off the street with no reservation . The main dining room was full. A second room was opened for us & we liked it very much. I think that is why we enjoyed the eatery. The main was very noisy for me. Our room was lined with wine bottles & other objects. Our waiter was not friendly... More

This restaurant was located only a few doors down the road from our hotel and the prices seemed reasonable. The food was average for Italy (pretty good then!) but the service was unfriendly and slow.
