Ruggero is very nice place where you can find delicious traditional Italian food. The atmosphere and the service was very cool. And I probably had the best crem caramel ever in this place.

My wife had their chicken dinner...simple but tasty. She was not as impressed. Their pork chops were the best. Lots of locals eat there...for a good reason!

We had a great meal here. It is a cosy little restaurant but the food and service were great. Make sure you book!

Service was ok. Seafood was not available, so service man recommended Pasta with spicy sauce without showing alternatives. Pork was good but why the hell have I to pay 12 euro for pork only (no sauce) and 7 euro for beans as side dish. Come on! The prices are ridiculous and impertinent for food (quality and visuals) I would expect... More

a couple of blocks beyond Porta Romana and it was one of best trattorias i've been to in Florence. I had pork chop which was excellent as was the house wine. Service was very friendly and our server spoke English (for me) and spanish (for my friends) very well. Mostly Italians and fewer tourists than most restaurants in center. Very... More

We arrived at 7pm and were the first in the place. It filled up around 7.30 - much more atmosphere then. Tuscan mixed platter was very tasty. The veal was to die for although the green beans were served cold which we weren't expecting. Dessert was ordinary - cherry tart was just jam I think. It was near where we... More

We've been going to this restaurant when in Florence for over 30 years and it remains one of our favorites. Although under new ownership, the quality of the food remains high and t, this time, we even got an English speaking waiter. A little out of the way bet definitely worth the cab ride.

Fantastic tuscan food for a very reasonable price. Need to make a reservation as this restaurant fills up very fast.

A small but fine traditional trattoria much frequented by Florentines too smart to overspend for simple food well prepared and true to the best florentine traditions. If they have it try the borgo scopeto red wine--outstanding.
