Tasty Meal Near Santa Croce

This was our first meal in Florence, in which we learned about the Coperto, but our introduction was fine because we were greeted with small glasses of proscecco and given limoncello after our meal. To me, if you have to pay a couple of euros a head this makes it worth it :-). Anyway...our... read more

My husband and i ate here tonight (our second night in Florence) having stumbled upon it on a quiet off-season Monday evening (most museums/galleries are closed on Mondays). We had a fantastic meal - I had calves liver and my husband had a fillet finished in balsamic vinegar. Both were delicious. Our waiter was attentive and knowledgeable and there was... More

We found this restaurant through the hotel and were pleasantly surprised. It is mostly frequented by locals so dont expect menus in english but the waiter was very helpful and guided us. The starter was a nice Tuscan antipasti plate with assorted meats, cheeses, bruschetta and salad. The wine was tasty and not expensive. The pasta was also fresh and... More

We arrived in Florence quite late and went to this restaurant for supper. The service was very good and the meals we had were very tasty! We were happy and full by the end of the meal.

My wife and I wanted a quick and easy pizza. This place did not disappoint. The margherita and vegetariana pizzas were soft and crisp and full of flavour. Perhaps I would have bunged an artichoke on the vegetariana but then I'm not a pizza chef. Still, it tasted lovely. And didn't cost the earth (7 and 9 euros respectively, I... More

I can't say enough good things about this restaurant & how we were treated by Raffaele! We stumbled upon this amazing place & were immediately treated like family. Raffaele continued to bring out food that he recommended until we couldn't eat another bite. The service, food, atmosphere & friendly staff was one of the best experiences we had in our... More

Had a decent meal in a pleasant restaurant. However was annoyed, to later discover, that I was charged 6euro for what were presented as 2 complementary glasses of prosceco on arrival.

We went here during our honeymoon and the food was wonderful. The menu is in Italian but the staff helped to translate. I had amazing fresh artichokes and truffles. The meal was wonderful and traditionally Tuscan!

This is a lovely spot, with lively crowds because tables are close and in demand. Food and wine are top-notch, including pastas but also the bistecca and other meats. Knowledgeable and friendly staff. Highly recommend.

Livaro was our server and his graciousness, etiquette and experience made our dinner from delightful and delicious to extraordinary! We've been coming to Florence for 3 years and we've found many great restaurants, but this restaurant swept all memories aside. Livaro helped us find our perfect wine to pair with the meal and how to decant it. It was beautiful!!... More
