Not bad, but not fantastic either

We had dinner at II Cantastlorie - after looking for a nicer restaurant for our first night in Florence. The outside dining area with heating and candles creates a lovely atmosphere. The food we found to be a bit average - we shared a entree, pizza, pasta and a bottle of wine. The pasta, the... read more

A definite visit when in Florence, not to be missed, to have lunch or dinner at this restaurant. Good choice for starters and fresh pasta especially ravioli with pecorino cheese, pears and a smooth beetroot cream, which amalgamates every taste bud. But the ultimate which I was craving for a long, is the epic foirentina (t-bone) which has a unique... More

My husband and I found this while walking through the wonderful streets of Firenze. We had a window seat so were able to do some serious people watching while eating delicious (and large) pizzas. Would love to go back to try some other items on their menu, perhaps for dinner vs lunch. Server was wonderful!

We went there on the 1st of January for lunch...this is the typical "Tourist" restaurant with very poor quality of food. The food was not only bad quality and not tasty, we did not receive exactly what we ordered, had to wait more than 45 min before receiving something (the restaurant was not full) and the waiters were not very... Nice atmosphere, quaint restaurant, and good house wine! Everyone enjoyed the pastas, gnocchi, and stew. Nice desserts.

Taking vacation with my family from NJ, USA. Had a dinner on 12/30/2015 in this place (Piazza Del mercato, 50122,Firenze), and ordered Roasted Lamb with Potato, some other dishes. They served two pieces of poor quality stewed lamb and a few pieces of potato. Not good at all. All other dishes were not good as well. Overall, all the food... More

A fantastic restaurant for a traditional Italian meal. We had a cheese board which was a suggested by the waiter to sample local cheeses. We had gnocchi and pasta which had all been handmade that morning and a bottle of Italian. The customer service as some of the best we have had and the prices were very reasonable.

Searching for a good steak, our guide told us that search for " Bistecca alla Fiorentina". Reading the menu in the streets, found this place. With a group of friends, enter the place. Me and my wife had a 38 oz steak to share. Awesome! They showed us the meat before cooking and was huge. Tiramisu dessert excellent. While in... More

We found this restaurant by accident and was so happy that we came back twice. The first night I ordered the Osso Buso which was extraordinary. The house red wine is wonderful as well. Everyone else in party ordered the pasta carbonara and said it was the best they had had. The second time we went I ordered it as... More
